"The best of all keepsakes... No other article of jewelry, gift or favor, is so valued as the Locket. It is a symbol of Faithfulness, cherished by the wearer for memory's sake and for the loved secret it holds. The Locket never grows old but becomes dearer with long possession."
Written over 100 years ago for the Wightman and Hough Company, those words are a beautiful example of the timelessness of lockets.
Through T for Edgar, I am proud to offer you a diverse collection of antique lockets (100 years old and older), vintage lockets (20 to 99 years old), and brand new lockets from all over the world. Through the collection you will discover concentrated styles and areas of jewelers represented through the decades. In the late 1800's to early 1900's, you will find a plethora of gorgeous gold filled and gold shell lockets made in Attleboro, Massachusetts USA (once considered "The Hub of the Jewelry World"). You will see major cities in Canada birthing the highly collectable sterling silver lockets in the 1940's. And you will, also, find that towns such as Birmingham, England designed a wide range of styles in both gold and sterling silver in the Victorian and Edwardian eras and later in the 1970's.
Many of these companies and areas marked their designs with stamps, signatures, or hallmarks. Each little number, symbol, and trademark gives us a peek into the locket's history and is a mark of pride for the jeweler that designed them.
With a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and engravings, I offer a collection that allows you to find just the right style to be a unique heirloom keepsake for you and your family. Whether filled with beloved photographs, a lock of hair, a bead, or nothing at all, may these timeless designs continue to grace the necks of ladies from generation to generation with their classic feminine elegance.

Precious metals such as silver need to be polished from time to time (with the exception of oxidized sterling silver- which does not need to be polished). To extend the time between the polishing of your bright silver, your may store your design in a air tight bag. When your piece does need polishing, I recommend Sunshine sterling silver polishing cloths. If you would like to purchase a cloth, please email me through Etsy or at TforEdgar [!at] me.com and I will set up a custom listing for you. The cost of the cloth is $4. (No shipping will be added if you purchase the cloth with another item.)
