Capturing Life's Moments

Every vintage image and timeworn treasure recalls a special day from the past.

The common thread running through most of my work is that I try to build stories and thoughts around vintage and neglected photos purchased with the hope of giving long forgotten faces a voice and a new place in time. I try to bring to mind "that day in time" that might have been special to someone for one reason or another. After all, this is what happens when we look at our own family photos.

I love to visit flea markets and antique shops, not to mention Etsy and eBay, seeking out all sorts of vintage materials that might also be used in my pieces. Stealing my heart are buttons, laces, fabrics and anything else that shows the patina of time. I also enjoy creating with paints, inks, papers, rubber stamps and just about anything else that suits my fancy.

My work seeks that gentle time in history that was so far away from the trappings of today's technology, and it has been published in Somerset Studio, Sew Somerset, and Somerset Studio Gallery.
