PRIVACY POLICY — THE AROID ATLAS
Last updated: 25 June 2026
The Aroid Atlas ("we", "us", "our") sells digital art and printables through our
Etsy shop and runs related email and social media (including Pinterest). This policy
explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights.
We are based in Ireland and comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
WHO WE ARE / CONTACT
The Aroid Atlas. You can contact us any time through our Etsy shop at
https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheAroidAtlas
WHAT WE COLLECT
- Orders & transactions: information you provide through Etsy when you buy (name,
email, billing/delivery details, order details). Payments are processed by Etsy
and its payment providers — we do not see or store your full card details.
- Email & marketing: if you subscribe (for example, to receive our free Aroid Care
Cheat Sheet or shop updates), we collect your email address and basic engagement
data such as opens and clicks.
- Social / Pinterest: when you interact with our Pinterest content, limited data is
handled under Pinterest's own terms. We use Pinterest to publish and schedule our
posts; we do not access your private Pinterest data.
- Website / landing pages: basic analytics (such as pages visited) and any details
you submit through our forms.
WHY WE USE IT (LEGAL BASES)
- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders (performance of a contract).
- To send marketing emails where you have opted in (consent — you can withdraw at any
time using the unsubscribe link in any email).
- To operate, secure and improve our shop, content and advertising (legitimate interests).
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations (legal obligation).
WHO WE SHARE IT WITH (PROCESSORS)
We share data only with providers that help us run the business:
- Etsy — marketplace, checkout and payments (see Etsy's Privacy Policy).
- MailerLite — our email service provider, which stores subscriber data to send our emails.
- Pinterest — for publishing and managing our social content (see Pinterest's Privacy Policy).
- Hosting and analytics providers for our pages.
We do NOT sell your personal data.
INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some of our providers (e.g. Etsy, Pinterest, MailerLite) may process data outside the
European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by appropriate
safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
DATA RETENTION
We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or as required by law
(for example, tax and order records). After that we delete or anonymise it.
YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of
your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of
these, contact us via the Etsy shop or the email above. You can unsubscribe from emails
at any time using the link in any email. You also have the right to lodge a complaint
with the Irish Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie).

cookies. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings.

Our products and services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly
collect their personal data.
