I love finding old trunks and cigar boxes to display my jewelry. Anything old that I can repurpose makes me smile :)
This photo is what inspired the name "ArtHaus Studios". It's a beautiful artist community in Trancoso Brazil.

That's my story and I'm sticking' to it!

Where do I begin? So, I wanted to be an artist since as far back as I can remember. I think I was five years old when I officially declared it as "what I want to be when I grow up" (with Olympic figure skater a close second).
I grew up surrounded by art. Always creating something and eventually ended up graduating from Mass College of Art in Boston with a BFA in Painting.
I was happily painting in my studio at Fort Point Channel in Boston, selling my work corporately via an agent….

…and then my husband persuaded me to open an import/export food business in Brazil!! I know it sounds crazy (and it was since I was only 23 years old at the time)

Fast forward 20 years and I'm still importing food but I've added a few more titles to my name. I'm a painter, a mother, a food importer, a coffee farmer and now a jewelry designer. All at once. Every day.

I'm a very busy person, but I love all my jobs and most of all, I love being able to do what I love and love what I do (with my two little monkey kids on my back)
