CARE OF YOUR WREATH: Please note that these are NOT all-weather wreaths. Wreaths have a straw base, and are wrapped with yarn and embellished with wool and acrylic felt and other decorative items. In order to maintain the integrity of the wreath, it is strongly recommended that wreaths NOT be directly exposed to extended periods of rain/snow. A few drops of water here and there will not harm the wreath, but being completely drenched by water could harm the integrity of the wreath's construction.

About

a bit of yarn, a lot of felt, and of course, GLITTER!

I originally started The Baker's Daughter after being discouraged with the lack of original, handmade items during the holidays. Dare I say it - there were too many "cookie cutter" decorations! So I started collecting little vintage figurines that had a little chip here or a small crack there, and added my own little touches to give them new life.

A few years ago, I decided to try my hand at making a yarn wreath for my Mom's birthday. I taught myself how to make felt flowers, and the result was a lovely green yarn wreath, full of pastel felt flowers and topped with a cheery ladybug. She loved it, and I decided to make a few more to sell. And the rest, as they say, is history!

I love to hunt for special, unique vintage items to incorporate into my pieces, whether it's an heirloom table decoration or a cheery wreath for the holidays. Because of this, many of my items are one of a kind or very limited in supply. Once in a while, I'm lucky enough to create a design that can be done over and over again - but each one is lovingly created by me, by hand, so no two will ever be exactly alike.

Thanks for letting me show you a little bit of my world - most of all, I hope I made you smile!

I'm Nancy - aka The Baker's Daughter! I spent many years watching my dad make icing roses. Now I use yarn, felt, and glitter to create my own!
