Announcement   Unique and special handmade lampwork glass beads. By bringing the tip of colored glass rods to a molten consistency, I create each bead individually in the flame of a torch.

If you have few moments to peak at my blog documenting my various lampworking, DIY projects, and naturalist type activities, please check out my blog:

Often, i can make more of The Bead You Need -- a pair for earrings? a set for a bracelet? I love to work with my customers to provide the original, artisan-made beads that they need. Contact me!

Oh truly! This is a beguiling baby glass lampwork snake. He's almost too cute! Which should make you a little wary! Don't forget the old cautionary tale about the woman who fell In love with a baby snake and kept it as a pet, hanging about her neck & chest! I really doubt you have any worries since this snake is encased in its infancy forever! The details and the coloring are spectacular! You will also fall in love with him at first site. BTW, this is my second purchase of these glass lampwork snakes & it won't be my last!

About

Making lampwork beads for over a decade.

I am so fortunate to have the time and freedom to create things. As an animal lover and strong believer in pet rescue organizations, i seem to make a lot of paw print beads and bone beads, and many little critter beads.

Hi and thanks for stopping by my bead shop. I make all of my glass beads myself, and sometimes i even venture into making jewelry with them, too. I enjoy working with people to make beads by custom order, so if you see a style of bead you like but want a different color, or if you see a set of 4 but want 22, just drop me an etsy conversation, and we'll probably be able to make you what you want.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order
Payment
Except when a listing states that the item is "Made to Order", i will almost always ship within 24 hours of my receipt of your payment. Custom Orders and "Made to Order" items will normally be completed between 1-2 weeks from my receipt of your payment. Often my turn-around time is much faster, but it depends on whether i have other orders in line before yours, and events in my life.
Shipping
My shipping fees are pretty accurately actual cost for shipping materials and postage: I will wrap your beads well in bubble wrap and ship in a 6"x9" envelope. Normally i don't charge further shipping fees for additional items added to your order. If after you place and order with me you wish to add more beads, as long as i haven't actually shipped your prior order and i can still add more items to the parcel, i will happily waive the shipping charges on the other order(s).

I normally buy and print shipping via etsy or PayPal, in which case a Tracking Number is included with your item. I normally don't buy postal insurance unless you request it and pay for it. If an item breaks in shipment, i will replace it because i have confidence in my packing (a photo of the damage should be supplied). But if an item gets lost by the postal system, please let me know. It is up to my discretion, but i have thus far offered refunds or offered to replace the item at my expense. Of the hundreds of shipments i have made, only two items have been reported lost. Of these, i replaced both, and one did eventually show up 2 months later... :-)
Refunds and Exchanges
I really do want my customers to be happy. I do my best to clearly state in the item's description the shapes, and the sizes, usually to the nearest 0.05mm. My photos are taken outdoors, with the beads on a neutral grey background, with a frosted acetate filter between the beads and the bright sun. I usually show a picture of the beads in my hand--this is partly for scale, but also to give you an idea of how the beads look next to my typical Caucasian skin tone. :-) For custom orders, i always send a photo first to make sure the item is what the customer had in mind.

If after all my means of trying to give a true description/photos of the beads, you are disappointed in them when you receive them, please contact me and we'll see if there is something we can do to refund or exchange them for something else.
Additional policies and FAQs
I have had some wholesale orders, and i treat these on a case-by-case basis, depending on the style of bead you want, what you want them for, and how many you want. Feel free to contact me about Special Orders.
