Announcement   Currently listing items on my Zazzle shop: http://www.zazzle.com/findingthesilversun*

Everywhere you look, there is beauty, and that is the part of the world I hope to capture and share. Finding the beauty in everyday items and photographs is something that I have always liked to do. I find it hard to get rid of things that I know I could turn into something else.

Photos displayed in the shop have been sized down and watermarked to prevent theft. Purchased images will NOT contain watermark and are sized for excellent print quality.

Available photography projects: canvas prints, faux canvas prints, custom framing, basic framing, puzzles, blankets, mugs, mouse pads, t-shirts.
Willing to discuss custom projects, but I reserve the right to turn down any custom project requests that I deem unreasonable.

About

The Lifetime Photographer

I have been taking photographs since I could hold a camera (probably about 3). I've always loved it, and would beg my parents and grandparents to let me take photos. They always did, because I wouldn't take completely trash photos (they may have been pointless, but they were pretty good for a young child).

My very first camera was a Barbie brand, hot pink, 110 film camera. It was called the "Barbie Hollywood Star camera," and it went everywhere with me! I don't recall much about the picture quality, I'm sure I was slightly disappointed, but it was my camera and I could take whatever pictures I wanted with it. This is the camera that really sparked my love for photography.

After the Barbie camera, I got a standard, film camera. I'm sure it took better photos, but only slightly. It was a very basic camera: manual lens cover, shutter button, manual film rewind, flash. But it went everywhere, accompanied by several rolls of film.

My very first digital camera was huge, larger than a 4x6 inch photograph, with a tiny screen (about 1x1 inches), and was one whole megapixel. But it had space for a memory card (largest it was compatible with was a 512 I believe), and it was portable enough. I have hundreds upon hundreds of photos taken with that camera... And they are really pretty good.

Now I'm currently on my 3rd point and shoot (I didn't ask for them for Christmas until the other one was broken, or until my parents decided to surprise me) camera, which is a Canon Powershot SD750, 7 megapixels. And I finally have my first dSLR, a Canon Rebel XS. The p&s goes with me everywhere, living in my purse. My dSLR goes with me on all of my adventures, like hikes and road trips, etc.

When I was in high school, I was able to take two years of photography. The first year was black and white film photography, which included developing our own film. The second year everything was digital, but we still printed our images on the high quality photo printer that was in the classroom. I loved those years, it was one of my favorite classes, and the teacher was absolutely phenomenal!

When I heard of Etsy, I decided that I wanted to sell my photographs. I have thousands of photos throughout the years, and I want to be able to share them. I hope you enjoy looking at my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them! Please help share them if you really enjoy them, thanks!

Shop policies

Last updated on December 9, 2015
Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my shop! I'm new to selling online, and fairly new to Etsy itself. Please bare with me as I adjust to this new world! Also, any feedback (on my shop or on my work) is welcome and appreciated!
All photographs have been taken and edited by me! I try my best to show the beauty in this world, and love sharing how I see the world with everyone. I love bright colors, and try my best to take photos that do not require a lot of editing. Occasionally I will play around with different editing techniques.

*International Purchases:* I am new to shipping items out of the USA. Shipping out of the country requires extra paperwork and time to understand the regulations. I greatly appreciate your patience and understanding while I learn these processes.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
Payment is required before any item will be created or shipped. If you would love to acquire an item, but do not have the funds, please contact me. We can discuss different options, however you will not receive any product until I have received payment in full.

Cancellations can only be done before an item has been shipped. If you decide you no longer want an item, please contact me IMMEDIATELY. I will let you know where I am in the creation process, and we can discuss options from there. Once the item is shipped, cancellations CANNOT be done.

More information about payments will be included after I have learned more about what is going on. I apologize for this section being incomplete at this time, and thank you for your patience. EAW 5/24/12
Shipping
Most items will be shipped (within the USA) within 3 business days of receipt of payment, I will contact you if the item will take longer than expected. If a certain project will take more time to create, the expected ship time will be listed in the item description.
All shipments will come with a tracking number & most will come with insurance (more specific information on insurance will be added later).
If you would like to upgrade your shipping, please contact me. I will figure out the new shipping costs, and send you an updated invoice reflecting the new shipping costs.
Because I am new to shipping commercially, I cannot provide deadlines for holidays at this time. However, if you would like to order something as a holiday present, I would recommend ordering as soon as possible. I do not object to shipping holiday presents months ahead of time.
International shipments will take more time, as they require more paperwork and have stricter regulations. When placing international orders, please note that your order could take up to one week before being shipped. This time will vary depending on amount of paperwork required, and I will do my best to communicate this to you.

I still need to research shipping a little more before I can provide you with firm policies about specific carriers. What is above is what I know I can provide at this time. I apologize for any inconvenience, and I thank you for your patience. EAW 5/24/12
Refunds and Exchanges
I do not fully understand how to provide refunds. However, if something has happened to your item during shipping, or if the item has not been received, please contact me immediately.
In the event of a damaged item, please take a photograph (even if it is with a phone camera) showing the item damage and the packing material it arrived in. Contact me with the photo and we will discuss what can be done.
If the tracking information says it was delivered, and you have not seen or heard from the package, please let me know.
