Welcome aboard The Blue Train for a unique journey!
The Blue Train is born from a desire to create a beautiful place and a warm atmosphere in the country I live in at the moment, Finland. It is both a home and a dream, a place to share my belief that the clothes we choose and wear are a way to celebrate life. Everyday is a special occasion!
My name is Jeanne and I am the owner of this small vintage store located in Central Finland. Since 2023, I share my passion on Etsy and enjoy sending the clothes I select with love and care all over the world.
When I listened to the song "Blue Train" by ma favourite artist, Johnny cash, I knew this would be the perfect name for my store!
Travelling by train is one of the best things you can do in this world!
Blue is my colour, it is indigo denim, French workwear...
Finally, it is a nostalgic nod to my home country, France. "Le Train Bleu" was a mythical train connecting the North of France to the French Riviera. This luxury night train, with dark blue sleeping cars and golden trim, became a legend in the early 1900's. Coco Chanel, Charlie Chaplin, F. Scott Fitzgerald were some of its famous passengers, as well as Agatha Christie, who published the novel "The Mystery of The Blue Train" in 1928.
I focus on natural and durable fibers, clothes that were made to last. In my store you will find vintage knits, western clothing, workwear and many other unique vintage styles.
