I love my tea pot and second mug! To think that you made both after seeing a picture of another mug that was given to me is amazing. Thank you!! It is beautiful and I am so grateful for this little tea set you made!

About

Form, function and beauty.

About my process
I work exclusively in porcelain clay and use all methods of forming including wheel throwing, hand building and casting in my process. I have a real passion for interesting surface design. I have worked in many areas of decoration including mishima, sgrafitto, and slip trailing. I like strong clean lines, classic shapes and fun patterns that make you turn the piece around to look at it on all sides. When possible I decorate the bottoms of pots so you see beauty and whimsy when the person across from you finishes their cup of coffee.

Why I make pots
I love making things that people use and love daily. When people tell me my mug is the one they reach for every morning, it makes my heart smile. If something I made with my own hands can become important to someones daily life, I have done my job right. For those people that put my work on a shelf and think it's too fancy or pretty to use...that's okay too. I would rather people use my work but if you deem it important enough to put on a pedestal, well, that's something special too.
