A little party never killed nobody....
Hmmmm, how did I get started?... Well, with a little ball of polymer clay and a lot of wine. My hours were cut in half at work due to the pandemic and no restaurants were hiring for obvious reasons, so I couldn't pick up any extra work like I usually would if I needed it. So I accepted that I would just have to figure something else out like I always have. When you're a single mom it's second nature to just keep pushing forward no matter what happens, so off I went.
The Charcoal Annex started out as a couple of friends who shared a love of creating, podding up together during this pandemic to be able to have weekly art nights in my homes 3rd floor art studio. Everyone would bring something to work on and sometimes we got to our respective projects and no one talked for hours, other times we all fed off each others critiques, suggestions, experience and applause. And well, sometimes we just sat back, drank some wine and just laughed our asses off. ALWAYS good music going. I started with some clay coasters and a couple of months later am doing vinyl and sublimation work and creating so many fun things! I can't wait to see where I can take this!
