The Clay Pot Pottery Studio began as a dream of potter and owner Martin Talavera. It is a family run studio located in Spotswood, New Jersey offering wheel lessons, handbuilding classes, workshops, walk-in paint your own pottery! Our doors opened in 2008 and has grown today to include many talented students and resident artists. New this year is our Etsy shop which currently features finished pieces by Martin Talavera and resident artist/assistant JoAnne Quintanilla. Every item in the shop is handmade. Our pieces include wheel thrown, altered, carved and pierced designs that are bisque fired in the studio and then handpainted with lead free, food safe glazes. Our prices reflect the handmade nature and time lovingly put into each item. They are beautifully crafted, functional pieces that come to you ready for everyday use or to be given as that special gift for that special someone.
