The Collected Cabinet is a carefully curated vintage shop offering timeless glassware, home décor, and collectible pieces chosen for beauty, quality, and everyday livability.
Hi, I’m Sara, and this is The Collected Cabinet. I’m so glad you’re here.
This shop grew out of a lifelong love of beautiful tableware and the quiet stories pieces carry with them.
That love began with my very first job in retail at Lenox, which I started as a teenager and continued through college. During those years, I became deeply familiar with Lenox, Gorham, and Stieff pieces and was trained to look closely. I learned how to spot flaws in glaze, uneven finishes, worn gold or platinum accents, and even tiny specks or bumps beneath the surface. That experience shaped my eye early and taught me the difference between true damage and the kind of gentle wear that comes from a life well lived.
Even after I left Lenox and built a career in public policy research, I never stopped collecting. I was always drawn to pieces with weight, history, and craftsmanship. My cabinets slowly filled with glass, porcelain, and objects that felt both useful and beautiful. Looking closely became second nature.
To this day, I examine every piece carefully. I value quality and integrity, but I also appreciate the character that time can bring. A faint rub on a gold rim or a soft patina on glass does not diminish a piece. Often, it deepens its story. My goal is always to be transparent, thoughtful, and discerning so you know exactly what you are bringing into your home.
Last year, after an unexpected career transition, I found myself slowing down and thinking more intentionally about where I wanted to put my energy. In a moment when the world felt uncertain, I leaned back into what has always brought me joy: collecting thoughtfully and giving new life to pieces that were made to last.
The Collected Cabinet is a curated mix of vintage and antique finds chosen with care and a well trained eye. You will find everything from heirloom quality tableware to approachable everyday vintage, including glassware, porcelain, and decorative objects meant to be used, loved, and lived with.
