Hola, soy Amanda y esta es técnicamente mi segunda ronda en el Universo Etsy y estoy emocionada de volver a compartir uno de mis medios creativos actuales, la pintura.
El color es una gran parte de mi vida y me encanta agregar color a cualquier cosa; tela, papel, lienzo, hilo y mi cabello! A menudo me encontrarás vestido con muchos colores brillantes, es una especie de m.o. ;)
Mi historia con la forma en que me metí en la creación de estas pinturas comenzó hace unos 4 años, cuando estaba luchando en mi trabajo corporativo y me encontré en un lugar oscuro. Descubrí esta técnica de pintura fluida e inmediatamente quedé cautivado. Estaba enamorada de la forma en que los colores se transformaban justo ante tus propios ojos (mira el video de mi proceso para ver a qué me refiero) y cómo cada pieza era completamente diferente a la anterior, ¡incluso si usaba exactamente los mismos colores! También hay un gran elemento de permitir lo que es, porque a veces vuelves horas más tarde para encontrar que tu pintura ha cambiado por completo.
Me trajo mucha alegría en un momento en que estaba luchando por encontrar satisfacción en la vida. Mi sótano (The Color Cave) fue el lugar al que fui para buscar refugio de la confusión y el dolor que sentía y para crear estas increíbles piezas llenas de color y vida. Estoy feliz de decir que recientemente dejé la situación laboral de mierda y ya no estoy luchando. Sin embargo, todavía estoy creando estas pinturas originales únicas porque todavía me traen mucha alegría y no puedo imaginar no hacerlas.
Me inspira constantemente la música (específicamente mi actual artista favorita Aurora), la experimentación y, por supuesto, la naturaleza. Podría pasar demasiado tiempo desplazándome por las imágenes de Google del espacio, el universo y las auroras (irónicamente). Me encanta cómo algunas de mis pinturas se ven muy parecidas al espacio, y otras recuerdan a abrir una piedra preciosa, ¡nuestro universo es tan magnífico! Proporciona la máxima inspiración.
Después de pasar los últimos 4 años experimentando con estas diferentes técnicas, estoy aquí y listo para compartirlas con el mundo. Y es posible que me haya quedado sin espacio en mi casa para poner todas mis pinturas :)

Hi There, I'm Amanda and this is technically my second round in the Etsy Universe and I am excited to be back to share one of my current creative mediums, painting.
Color is such a huge part of my life and I love adding color to anything; fabric, paper, canvas, yarn and my hair! You will often find me dressed in many bright colors, it's kind of my m.o. ;)
My story with how I got into creating these paintings started about 4 yrs ago, when I was struggling in my corporate job and found myself in a dark place. I discovered this fluid painting technique and was immediately captivated. I was in love with the way the colors transformed right before your very eyes (check out the video of my process to see what I mean) and how each piece was completely different than the last, even if I used the exact same colors! There is also a huge element of allowing what is, because sometimes you come back hours later to find your painting has completely changed.
It brought me so much joy in a time when I was struggling to find satisfaction in life. My basement (The Color Cave) was the place I went to seek refuge from the confusion and pain I felt and to create these incredible pieces full of color and life. I am happy to say that I recently left the crappy job situation and I am no longer struggling. However, I am still creating these one of a kind original paintings because they still bring me so much joy and I can't imagine not making them.
I am constantly inspired by music (specifically my current fav artist Aurora), experimentation and of course nature. I could spend waaaaaay too much time scrolling through google images of space, the universe and auroras (ironically). I love how some of my paintings look very space like, and others remind be of cracking open a gemstone, our universe is so magnificent! It provides the ultimate inspiration.
After spending the past 4 years experimenting with these different techniques I am here and ready to share them with the world. And I may have run out of room in my house to put all my paintings:)
