The Foundation of Victory is Courage
Swords, daggers, shields--all that a child needs to defend his or her domain, fight the imaginary dragon in the backyard and protect loved ones--have been crafted by The Compleat Knight, a Children's Armoury for more than 40 years. Our brightly colored wooden shields, swords, daggers, pole arms, crossbows, and bows and arrows are made with quality materials and designed to last. We appreciate the stories and smiles we've heard and seen from generation to generation.
In addition to selling our toys online, we participate at several renaissance faires, Scottish Highland Games, Irish festivals and various high-end arts and crafts shows throughout the southeast.
The roots of our company and mission come from our founder, the late Penn Lester. His passion for bringing joy and instilling imagination in children launched The Compleat Knight, which continued to grow with his lifelong interest in heraldry and Medieval history. Penn was well-traveled and in his youth enjoyed his military tours overseas to Greece, Tunisia and Morocco, but most of all, he loved the South. Penn was an accomplished musician and bluegrass singer, an excellent wood craftsman, knowledgeable and respected renaissance historian, especially with regard to medieval weapons, and loyal friend.
We thank you for your patronage and for supporting the legacy that continues to inspire young minds to imagine, play and be happy.
