What a beautiful pendant. It is exactly as advertised. The workmanship is of the finest quality. It was very well packaged for shipping and arrived only three days after I ordered it. I will be recommending this Etsy store to all my friends!
Specialty fabrication studio creating unique works in all mediums.
The Cosmic Workshop earns its name. Between them, Keith and Jaime Turman work in almost every medium available; and visiting their studio is a cosmic experience in itself.
Their workshop is filled with projects in the works, from a giant fiberglass nose for the Science Place, to molds that will form tree trunks for an arbor at a DART Station, and a web of Canadian antlers that will be part of a bar in Salina, Kansas, of all places. All fascinating stuff.
Jaime is a Reiki master and massage therapist in addition to an accomplished jewelry maker and seamstress. She also enjoys drawing and painting.
When she starts a project, she doesn’t have a clear vision of what it will look like in the end. Guided by her intuition, she thoughtfully selects the stones, artfully wraps and twists them together in sterling silver. She is an expert on the healing properties of minerals and uses this knowledge as she creates her pieces.
Keith on the other hand, is a planner and a thinker. When he starts a new project, “I think about it a lot, I come up with ten different scenarios, analyze it to death, finally something clicks and I figure it out,” he says. Then the work begins. Most of his works are commissioned so he has more direction from the start. Most of the things he makes, he’s never made before, so every job is a challenge and an adventure.
Keith works in many mediums, concrete, metal, fiberglass, you name it. He enjoys working with a variety of materials because they each suit a different purpose. He studied painting at Texas Tech, and though he loves painting, his work is now more 3-dimensional, and can be found at restaurants, businesses and private residences all over the country.
Both of their creative spirits were sparked a very early age. Jaime is quite the gypsy and called many places home, from Utah to South Africa, before landing in Dallas. Keith, a true Texan from Tyler, Texas, had been in Dallas since the late 80s. They now live in the Ozarks near Branson Mo.Together they enjoy the adventures of traveling and hunting for stones and other treasures they find along the way.
