Emma was a dream to work with and produced a beautiful, bespoke set of Lovebird parrots to sit atop our wedding cake, after which they will forever be a treasured keepsake in our family home. Emma is so talented and passionate about her craft, and we couldn't be happier with the wonderful birds she created - absolutely perfect and just what we imagined. Thank you so much again Emma - 8 weeks today they'll be taking pride of place on our cake!

About

A Home Bird at heart, creating wooden pencil homes and textile birds for people who appreciate the little things in life.

Situated in rural Norfolk in England, I am constantly inspired by the countryside, its wildlife, its picturesque villages and quaint cottages. Living in a very old, very small and somewhat quirky cottage myself, means I have limited space to display my all favourite things. Consequently I have a developed a passion for making and collecting unusual and tiny objets d'art.

I enjoy exploring new ideas to keep the creative juices flowing. I'm always intrigued by beautiful things that originate from the ordinary or mundane, so I'm loving the process of producing my miniature houses and forming little streets from from pencils, vintage rulers and the like. Each house and street has its own character and no two are ever the same.

My birds are lovingly made to order from their own specially designed pattern to create their particular form. I use a variety of fabrics, embellished with stitching and lace/ribbon details to create their delightful little characters.
I always love to work with my customers to make Wedding Birds and feel very privileged to contribute to such a special occasion and create a permanent unique and personal keepsake to treasure for a lifetime.
