I grew up on Long Island, NY and as a child I had a somewhat contentious relationship with our sewing machine. My mother sewed and I was interested, but easily frustrated. I loved fabrics and the idea of making something with a fabric of my choice, but small pillows and half of a shirt were all that I was able to accomplish. So, as an adult, I tried my hand at sewing again and was much more successful! As a teacher, I know the importance of being organized and having a place for things, so I created my shop to combine sewing beautiful fabrics with organization. Organization can be pretty and colorful!

We live in the beautiful state of Virginia, within view of the exquisite Blue Ridge Mountains. I continue to teach elementary school, but love the quiet and productive time spent in my home studio.
