About

Call Me Maybe!

Could that title get any cornier?? But that is how my shop started basically. I gave my crocheted buddies to my mom with my name/number on pieces of paper and told my mom to try and sell them for me. And guess what?? It worked. I expanded to having a facebook page and an etsy page. With all these things going on I even designed my own business cards to go along with my promoting. Now I just really want to donate my time and items to children, which is something I developed in my sewing/quilting class in high school.

I've only been crocheting for a couple of years now, but I have been into crafts most of my life. And I am always trying to come up with ways to donate my time/projects. I am a police dispatch for a small town and a part time graduate student!

Welcome to my Etsy page, The Crafty Internuncio.

The name comes from the fact that I am crafty and I am an internuncio. What is an internuncio? It is a person who delivers messages or in my case a dispatcher (I am a police dispatcher). So now you know!

All my items being sold are handmade, usually stuffed animals that I have crochet together. For every item that is purchased a second one will be made and donated to Children's Hospital Boston (unless otherwise stated). The donation will be made in the buyer's name (or in honor of another person if the buyer chooses), and I will make every effort for you receive to a personal 'thank you' from the hospital that the item is donated to.

Shipping
I will attempt to get every item out within a week. Every item is made when it is purchased and I usually need about two-three days to make it. If it is going to take longer or if I am unable to ship within the week I will let you know and give you the option for a refund.

Items will be shipped USPS Priority Mail (which is usually 3-5 days), which comes with tracking confirmation and $50 worth of insurance.

Shipping and confirmation is built into the price, so there are no additional fees.
Refunds and Exchanges
If an item comes to you damaged, I will refund your money and I will pay for the return of the item. When I receive the item back I will then refund you money.

You will have one week to report a damage to me, once you receive the item (all items are tracked when shipped). I will send you a return label for the item, so you will just have to drop it at the closest post office.

If items are lost by the post office, I will give you the option to receive a refund or I will send another item.
Additional policies and FAQs
All items are made to order. If you do not like the colors that I usually do the items in, you have the option to ask for different colors. Please leave a comment when buying the item if you want something done differently to the item. If you do not specify you will receive the item as you see it here on this page.

As a side note, every item is made when it is purchased so it might not look exactly like the picture. These items are handmade so they are all unique.
