Made with love in Fairhope, Alabama, The Crafty Momma Company is pleased to offer you Personalized Socks for Special Soles.

In 2013, I had the desire to follow in my grandmother's footsteps and learn how to sew. She was an amazing seamstress and she learned from her mother, who, from what I hear, was even better!! While going through some of my grandmother's treasures, I found a hand-stitched, red onesie with an appliquéd blue and white striped whale on the front, that she had made for my dad when he was a baby. It was beautifully imperfect! I could tell it was hand-stitched and knowing the love that went in to this little cotton treasure gave me the jump-start I was looking for to dive in to my passion of wanting to pass down similar heirlooms to my children.

So I went to a sewing shop, tested out a few machines and left with a used Bernina to try out for 6 months to see if I liked sewing. It only took 3 days...I knew I loved it and went in for the upgrade. I left with a new machine, a beautiful Bernina 580 and went to work learning.

In those first 2 months, I created enough appliquéd and monogrammed shirts for my son to fill his closet to the brim! And as it goes, he outgrew them almost as fast as I was making them. I made so many that I was able to then turn around and make his shirts in to a King-sized t-shirt quilt for him to use and keep as a treasure. I was hooked. I quickly learned that I needed a faster machine to help me keep up with all ideas I had for developing a business and soon upgraded to my first 16-needle commercial embroidery machine and I haven't looked back!!! And now, we have expanded again and added another 16-needle to help us keep up with demand! That's 32 needles going at once! Yowza!

My son soon outgrew his appliquéd shirt days (I started kind of late), so I turned my focus to men's dress socks with an emphasis on wedding socks and Groomsmen gifts! Which I LOVE! I love hearing the excitement in the bride's messages and even some grooms, talking about their big day and how these socks will add such a special touch!! I especially LOVE when customers share their wedding photos with me!!! It makes it so special!

We have also expanded in other ways and are extremely excited to announce that we have hired two stay-at-home moms to help us keep up with orders!! This business not only helps moms get a chance to recoup and regenerate, but also has added a chance for them to work flexible hours and provide for their family as well! We thank our customers for allowing us to help make our "small business" a success and helping small businesses continue to grow!

We are a home-based company out of Fairhope, Alabama. Fairhope is a wonderful little town located on Mobile Bay, amidst the acres and acres of 100-year-old Oak trees and beautiful views of the bay. It has also been named one of the top Southern towns by Southern Living magazine!

The Crafty Momma Company is something that is so precious to me and I feel blessed that I am able to work from home and still be able to be with my children, attend school functions, be "room mom" and have the flexibility to do what I love, while making a contribution to my family. God answered so many prayers when He put the ideas behind "The Crafty Momma Company" on my path.

Giving Back: All of our extra thread pieces are placed in my barn so the birds that live near us have the most colorful nests around filled with horse hair from our horses and manes and tails and our pieces of thread! They love it!! We will get pictures as soon as the babies have flown away! All of our "retired" socks and slightly imperfect socks that could not be sold are given to the local women's and children's shelter as well as the homeless shelter and several families around town. Nothing goes to waste here! And also, at the end of the year, we calculate our sales and take 5% and donate those proceeds to the local animal shelters in town. We are thankful to be able to do this!
Thank you for stopping by!
