About

Crochet Hats, Photo Props and Accessories

I started Crochet Cauldron back in 2011, when I was having trouble finding cute alternative baby clothes for my newborn. I wanted something unique for my son that showed off a sense of style, but everything I found was woefully mass-produced and generic. So I put my lifetime of crochet experience to work and started making his accessories myself. It wasn't long before I started offering these same accessories to the world!

My focus is on creating products that are both appealing and durable. I pay close attention to detail and refuse to sell anything that doesn't meet my extremely high standards. Just because you're buying handmade doesn't mean you should be sacrificing quality--your hand crafted items should outshine anything you might find mass-produced in a discount store. Plus, I want to make sure you've got a unique, eye-catching accessory that will invite that "OMG where did you get that?" gushing. When that happens, both of us look good. :)

Please visit my sister shops, Maiden and Mom, for embroidered women and girls' t-shirts and accessories and SummitFairyDesigns for SVG cut files.

I am mom to four boys, and the one thing that hasn't changed since I had my first son is that most baby clothes are BORING. My main goal is to create interesting apparel for badass babies, so babies can dress just as awesome as their amazing parents.

Frequently asked questions

Sizing details

0-3 Months measures 14"
3-6 Months measures 15"
6-12 Months measures 16"
12-18 Months measures 17"
Child measures 17.5"
Adult measures 18" (fits up to approximately 23")

As a general rule of thumb, you will want to choose a hat that measures 1-2" smaller than your baby's head. For example, a 3 month old with a 17" head would likely wear the 3-6 month size, which measures 15". If you're ordering for a baby and there's any doubt in your mind whatsoever, I suggest using the circumference as your guide instead of the months. My own little ones have always had head circumferences that way outpaced their months sizes in clothing, so trust me, I know how tricky sizing can be!
