Fin da quando ero piccola, io e mia nonna ci sedevamo e lavoravamo su mestieri di ogni tipo. Mi ha insegnato a cucire ed è sempre stata di supporto ai miei numerosi hobby. Alla fine questo mi ha portato a trovare un lavoro presso Jo-Ann Fabrics per sostenere i miei hobby mentre ero a scuola!
Quando mi sono allontanato per la prima volta dalla mia famiglia per conseguire la laurea in Infermieristica, ho adottato un gatto e lei non ha mai lasciato il mio fianco quando stavo lavorando a un progetto. Doveva sempre mettere i suoi due centesimi. Che si tratti di buttare giù un nastro da un tavolo per dirmi che non approva o di saltare proprio nel mezzo di un progetto di gioielleria. Ottiene sempre la sua strada!
Da quando Morticia è morta di insufficienza renale dopo 10 anni insieme, ho avuto un momento molto difficile. Non ho mai pensato di essere una "persona gatto" perché ovviamente la mia Morticia era speciale. Penso ancora a lei ogni giorno, un desiderio che stava riscaldando il suo posto dietro la mia macchina da cucire.

Ever since I was little, my grandma and I would sit and work on crafts of all kinds. She taught me to sew and was always supportive of my many hobbies. Eventually this lead to me getting a job at Jo-Ann Fabrics to support my hobbies while I was in school!
When I first moved away from my family to pursue my degree in Nursing, I adopted a cat and she never left my side when I was working on a project. She always had to put in her two cents. Whether it is knocking a ribbon off of a table to tell me she doesn't approve or jumping right in the middle of a jewelry project. She always gets her way!
Since Morticia passed away of kidney failure after 10 years together, I had a very hard time. I never thought I was a "cat person" because of course my Morticia was special. I still think about her daily an wish she was warming her spot behind my sewing machine.
