Out of all the items that I make, only a small selection are right for Etsy. I experiment often with clay bodies, forms and glaze combinations. Some are wonderful, some just offer 'lessons learned' for the next round of experimenting. Also, due to the expense involved in shipping ceramics (special needs packaging, weight, etc), I choose to present here only pieces I really like that are small or medium in size and so reasonable to send anywhere in the US. (Cost is the only reason I do not offer shipping to other countries.)

Before opening my Etsy shop, I brought several ceramic items to my favorite shipping store and asked that they tell me how much each would cost to send to several different zip codes. I averaged the figures, then added in the cost of packaging and labor to arrive at a single price. Since each item needs to be weighed, measured and packed individually, I absorb any extra costs to keep the process easy for you.
Refunds and Exchanges
With one exception,* all pieces I have shipped from San Francisco have arrived at their destinations safe and sound. If a problem occurs, please let me know. I cannot make an identical replacement but will consider sending another item of similar value or reimbursing for shipping. Photos and other details will help me decide on the most appropriate solution.
*The end result was a happy customer. Here's why: Just once, a package arrived in damaged condition. The savvy recipient snapped a photo of the box and contents. Although I offered a refund, the shopper selected an alternative item -- which arrived in perfect condition and on time. The pro at my packing store obtained reimbursement for shipping costs....and every shipment since has been just fine.
