Greetings!
My passion for the vintage and collectible began when my parents purchased an antique store when I was 11. In the *cough* 30 years since, I have delighted in preserving and appreciating the items those before us loved and used.
My other passion, books, can also be blamed on my parents. My mother is a retired English teacher and my father holds a doctorate in English Literature. After years of freelance writing, I have found my niche in creating timeless picture books and beginning readers. If only I had the funds to produce them faster.
In my full-time life, I manage a small thrift store for a human services organization serving at risk youth and families, coordinate and recruit volunteers, network with other non-profits in the area, and write grants.

I have been selling antiques and collectibles online since 1994, I love the tangible pieces of our past. I was raised in the antiques business. May parents were ardent collectors and then purchased an antiques business when I was 12. My mom still specializes in Victoriana over 30 years later and we love to go antiquing together. I found out that working with antiques was a great way to learn about history. It also helps that my mom and dad were teachers. So when I asked about an item, I got the whole story and then some. Mom's Johnny Horton record helped too.
Now in my middle age, I have rather burned out on 'true antiques' preferring instead to give in to my geekiness and mid-life crisis, focusing on pop-culture and items from the 40's through the 80's. Yeah, I'm trying to recapture my past. And I was raised by parents who grew up in the 50's so there nostalgia is mine. What can I say, olive green and mid-century modern give me warm fuzzies.
On writing: Working with a professional artist of exceptional quality, Elisabeth Berg, I produce children's books of timeless quality to charm young and old. I published for the first time at the age of 15. Language is a marvel in and of itself, and I delight in it, reading others' works or creating my own. All hail Dr. Seuss!
