Alchemy for Everyday. Art that can be worn.

The Collection:

These pieces entitled "The Dream Collector: Specimens Oneiritica" reflect images from my dreams that I have been collecting, examining and processing over the last twenty years of my life.

By combining Oneirology with Entomology, these displayed alchemical symbols have been extracted from the dream, according to identity and alchemical process, and made into one-of-a-kind amulets. The illustrations along with natural found objects, like flowers, stones, seaweed, are put into resin inside upcycled copper.

These unique art pieces act as a talisman, bringing potency and special gifts to the wearer. Each amulet carries a special name and detailed explanation of its properties.
From inviting in love, joy and abundance to clearing out old energy to make way for the new, take your time examining each image and see which one “calls to you.” Then have fun seeing which alchemical process is present for you or a loved one at this time.

To enhance your experience, you may add essences to the lava stone for aromatherapy! Or combine two alchemical symbols together to create a more individualized look and energy. Custom one of a kind art and pieces are also available for the ultimate experience.

For pieces that are made to order, please allow up to two weeks from creation to shipment. Each talisman will also vary slightly in appearance.

Thanks for looking at please don’t hesitate if you have any questions. To learn more about Dream Alchemy, please visit lindamastrangelo.com

Love love love it! It feels great to wear and minutes after I put it on, the compliments started pouring in. A versatile and unique piece, clearly made with a lot of care - just wonderful.

Let's celebrate the dark side with wonderfully witchy amulets!

Alchemy for everyday; Art that can be worn!

ABOUT THE COLLECTION

The collection is entitled The Dream Collector: Fauna and Flora: Specimens Oneiritica. These pieces reflect images from my dreams that I have been collecting, examining and processing over the last twenty five years of my life. There are many dreams that inspired this art collection including one entitled “The Dreamers.” In this dream, I am an excommunicated monk in search of my true home. What I find is a monastery of alchemistic dreamers who test my abilities by placing ‘creatures’ and symbols on my left arm and ask that I interpret the meanings of each.

Amazingly, these symbols are reminiscent of the “stream of consciousness” illustrations I have been creating since I was sixteen years old. The meanings, like the symbols, have evolved over the years and, as in my dream, I could not give the alchemist a definitive answer. I could only respond that these icons represent Nature and the urgent need to protect and understand these delicate creatures. I was reassured by these Dreamers that they would teach me and that I had just forgotten the ways.

In 2006, I began studying dreams and alchemy in a more serious manner and with that new path emerged a need to illustrate again. After a ten year hiatus, the images have returned full force along with my passion for the dream and all its mystical possibilities. This constant questioning of Self and the call to understand, explore and preserve Nature has led me to this work.

HOW IT WORKS

By combining Oneirology with Entomology, these displayed alchemical symbols have been extracted from the dream, according to identity and alchemical process, and made into one-of-a-kind amulets. The illustrations, along with natural found objects like flowers, stones, seaweed, are put into resin inside upcycled copper and then carefully hand etched.

These unique art pieces act as a talisman, bringing potency and special gifts to the wearer. Each amulet carries a name and comes with a detailed explanation of its properties. From inviting in love, joy and abundance to clearing out old energy to make way for the new, take your time examining each image and see which one “calls to you.” Then have fun seeing which alchemical process is present for you (or a loved one) at this time.

To enhance your experience, you may add essences to the lava stone (basalt) for aromatherapy. Basalt is formed from molten lava or rock that was heated so much it turned liquid; you can only imagine the strength, fire and power contained within basalt! A perfect stone for focusing on and grounding specific intentions or properties.

Or combine two alchemical symbols together to create a more individualized look and energy. Custom one of a kind art and pieces are also available for the ultimate experience.

Shipping
* All talismans come with a wire necklace and all items are sent with a detailed description of alchemical properties and organza bag.

* Items MADE TO ORDER, will need some time to create. This is why orders are normally shipped within 2 weeks of receipt of payment.

*After your order has been mailed, estimated delivery time in the U.S. is 2-5 business days for First Class Mail, and 2-3 days for Priority Mail. Orders outside the U.S. may take on average anywhere from 1-5 weeks longer depending on shipping option and location. Bear in mind this is an *estimate* of delivery time only from the USPS, and not a guarantee - high volume mail seasons, holidays, weather conditions, and other uncontrollable circumstances can affect the postal service's delivery times. International orders can also be held up by your country's customs.

* Customers outside the U.S. are responsible for any customs fees, duty, taxes, tariffs, or any additional charges that may be placed upon your package by your own government as it enters your country. As I have no way of knowing what those fees may be or if they may pertain to you, please check your local customs regarding customs fees, and items restricted or prohibited for shipment to your country prior to making a purchase. Please keep in mind shipping times are estimates only from the USPS, and refer only to the delivery time between leaving the United States and arriving to your country's customs - packages can be delayed in customs at the discretion of your government and this is out of a seller's control. Your package may also be opened by your country's customs officials for inspection, and may not arrive to you looking as neatly packaged as it did when it left my hands. Packages may not be marked as a gift in order to avoid customs fees, as it is illegal in the United States for me to do so. Your package will be marked as merchandise, and the value (purchase price) of the item declared on the customs form. The customs number on your package will be e-mailed to you once the package is ready for shipment.
