The Ebony Bead
TheEbonyBead's Shop Policies
Welcome to The Ebony Bead, your home for the finest hardwood beads available anywhere.
I make every bead by hand, using a variety of hardwoods. Each piece is shaped individually and polished to a super smooth finish. The beads are never tumbled, dyed, or varnished. Hand polishing with a touch of fine wax brings out the natural beauty of the wood.
Gaboon Ebony is a naturally black wood, polishes beautifully, is tough and wears well. Most of my beads are either all ebony or combine ebony with other woods in some fashion.
All holes are tapered at the edge to go easy on thread and yarn. With some exceptions (like the ebony skinnies, and the hoop beads), beads have at least a 3mm hole. Please indicate if you need an extra large size hole.
Most beads can be drilled in different orientations, and sizes and woods altered to suit your project. Ask me about what would work best for your design.
