INFORMAZIONI SU BARRIE
Non ho iniziato la mia carriera come scrittore o artista nel senso tradizionale del termine. Mi sono formato come gioielliere, imparando precisione, cura dei dettagli e maestria artigianale, prima di passare all'ingegneria, dove ho installato macchinari complessi in tutto il mondo. Parallelamente, ho sempre coltivato la mia creatività: disegno, pittura, linoleografia, scultura e arte tridimensionale.
Col tempo, questi percorsi si sono fusi in un'unica idea: le storie non dovrebbero essere solo lette, ma vissute.
Ora scrivo romanzi gialli ambientati in luoghi reali, tra cui Benidorm e la Londra degli anni '90, dove l'atmosfera e il luogo sono importanti quanto il mistero stesso. Parallelamente ai libri, creo opere d'arte e oggetti da collezione – mappe, ex libris, segnalibri e fascicoli – che danno vita a quei mondi nel mondo reale.
Potreste anche scorgere la mia Mini Moke a Benidorm, utilizzata come parte del mondo visivo che fa da sfondo alle storie di Vera Copsicle. È diventata una piccola estensione della finzione nella realtà, un altro "luogo" per i lettori che desiderano avvicinarsi un po' di più alla storia.
Qui tutto è pensato per rendere la finzione tangibile, coinvolgente e un luogo in cui ci si possa immergere.

ABOUT BARRIE
I didn’t start out as a writer or artist in the traditional sense. I trained as a jeweller, learning precision, detail, and craftsmanship, before moving into engineering where I installed complex machinery around the world. Alongside that, I’ve always created—drawing, painting, linocut printing, sculpture, and 3D art.
Over time, those paths merged into one idea: stories shouldn’t just be read, they should be experienced.
I now write crime fiction set in real locations, including Benidorm and 1990s London, where atmosphere and place are as important as the mystery itself. Alongside the books, I create artwork and collectible pieces—maps, bookplates, bookmarks, and case files—that bring those worlds into the real world.
You may also spot my Mini Moke in Benidorm, used as part of the visual world behind the Vera Copsicle stories. It has become a small extension of the fiction into reality—another “location” for readers who want to step a little closer to the story.
Everything here is designed to make fiction feel tangible, immersive, and somewhere you can step into.
