La fille qui aimait les textiles
The Girl Who Loved Textiles

When I was little, I spent a lot of time trying to learn how to sew and do other textile arts. I learned how to hand sew when I was 6, knit (wrongly, for the first time) when I was 7, quilt and crochet when I was 9, knit (properly) when I was 12, and I sewed my first historical costume when I was 14, after a few simpler sewing projects. I learned to spin when I was 15, and to weave when 17.
When I graduated with a degree in History and Medieval and Renaissance Studies from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, I knew that my true passion was in sewing and textile arts, so, with $500 and a website, I began to build my business. I now ship both yarn and textile arts supplies all over the world, and look forward to making my business grow in the years to come.
In 2020, I opened my own custom wool mill, The Fiber Mill, in Stromsburg, Nebraska. We now make our own yarns, rovings, and quilt batts there, as well as custom processing for our wonderful customers.
Thanks for visiting my shop!
