I create calm, structured visual supports designed to help children regulate, organize their thinking, and return to learning with confidence.
Welcome to The Focus Knot.
I create calm, structured visual supports designed to help children strengthen executive function skills, regulate their emotions, and return to learning with confidence.
I bring this work from both professional and personal experience. I have spent 6 years as a school administrator, and before that, 18 years as a classroom teacher, working closely with students who need thoughtful, flexible supports to access learning. I’ve seen firsthand how the right tools—introduced with care—can make a meaningful difference for children who struggle with organization, transitions, emotional regulation, and task initiation.
I’m also a mom to a neurodivergent child, which deeply shapes everything I create. Like many families, I’ve lived the day-to-day reality of balancing school expectations, emotional needs, and the desire to help a child feel capable and understood. The resources in this shop are the kinds of tools I’ve searched for myself—calm, respectful, and genuinely useful.
At The Focus Knot, I strongly believe that executive function skills can be strengthened, and that children thrive best when parents and educators work in partnership. My resources are designed to support that collaboration by offering visual, low-language tools that can be used consistently across home and school settings.
All products are created with:
School-safe and 504/IEP-friendly language
Trauma-informed and dignity-preserving design
A focus on support, not compliance
Practical use for both families and educators
My goal is not to “fix” children, but to provide tools that help untangle big feelings, busy minds, and overwhelming tasks—one step at a time.
Thank you for being here and for supporting thoughtful, inclusive learning tools.
