The Road Not Taken
The story of my shop is that of a choice. I was training to become a physician wanting only to help and heal others. Art was something I did to unwind. My world changed in a blink of an eye, and circumstances forced my hand. I would no longer become a physician. The choice pained me at first, but then I found my inspiration in art. I changed my major in college and have never looked back.
I have always drawn from the moment I could hold a pencil. My doodles and sketches were random and silly kind of like me. You always knew when I was around because there would be an eyeball or horse head drawn on anything within reach.
I discovered my affinity for creating jewelry while studying for my Bachelor's degree. I love using my hands in all my artwork it seems so personal and expressive. I decided after considerable encouragement from my colleagues and friends to start selling my jewelry. My sister told me about Etsy and I absolutely fell in love with the community and the collaborative environment.
After having success with jewelry I decided to start working with pastels again. While in high school I loved using pastels something about the softness of the lines and color seemed more soulful to me. The one thing I loved to draw more than anything else in this world is horses. I looked on Etsy to see what other people priced their pastels at, and was stunned at the beauty of the work available. I told myself, man, those are just too good there is no way anyone will want to buy my work! I then thought really hard about that self-doubt and insecurity and said - "Stuff that!" I am sure someone out there would love to have some of my work why not? I am not a realist and that's okay! Neither was Monet or Manet! So I said will let the lovely people on Etsy decide.
My amazing husband and incredible children were so encouraging and supportive I decided to revamp my shop to incorporate all forms of my art. I have digital works created with Illustrator and used in my jewelry designs, hand drawn works of horses, and yes I even have some pastels up. I have never once regretted my decision to major in art. In fact, I decided to complete my Master's of the Arts- I love it so much. I will leave you with a quote from a man whose wisdom and foresight inspires us all:
"I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."
Owner, Maker, Designer
My road to the passions in my life has always been somewhat curvy. I have always drawn since I could hold a pencil. My hope is to always be part of a community of artisans to admire their work and grow from that experience.
I am a British born photographer who grew up in the resort town of Southport where I was inspired to capture the curious world around me noticing that which often goes unnoticed. I realised at an early age that photography is my true passion in life.
Jewelry is not all I do as you probably have seen. I love horses and love to draw and create pastels of their majestic beauty. My style is very unique and definitely is not realistic, but hey that is okay! I am just so glad you stopped by to take a gander.
When you visit if my shop seems empty it is probably sold out. Eeek ! :D So i will be hustling trying to finish up new works for you to see and love. Please feel free to send me a message about anything at all.

Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the high demand of individual art and the unique nature of the pieces I only offer a 15 day return policy at this time. Please send me an email before the 15 days is up so I am aware that the item will be returned.
However, if it is after 15 days from the purchase date it can no longer be returned. The buyer is responsible for return shipping to my studio. Once the return is received, the artwork assessed the purchase price will be refunded to the Paypal account provided. Unfortunately, at this time I cannot refund the shipping price for any of my items.
I also allow a cancellation option, so that if you change your mind before the item is shipped I will refund the Paypal transaction plus the shipping cost in full. However, if the item has left my studio, and shipping has been processed I adhere to the return policy.
Insurance, repair, and peace of mind = Yay Happy dance!!
Insurance is purchased (included in the shipping cost) to guarantee the safe arrival of your artwork, so if it has been damaged on the way the insurance will cover the costs. I will repair damaged items for free, but will require that the shipping is paid to and from my studios to cover my labor and efforts to manage the repair. I will ALWAYS offer this service to my clients! I want to keep my art beautiful as well as functional for as long as you own it!
