About

Inspiration for Moms

I initially became interested in using cloth diapers on one of my littles, which eventually led me to learning how to make my own wool dryer balls to use with our cloth diapers.Making dryer balls led me to learning more about wool and natural fibers, which then led me to learning how to loom knit and now crochet.

I feel strongly that there can be balance between work, family, religion, and interests....whether you work outside the house or at home. My purpose is to inspire, encourage, and create beautiful items for all moms.

Thank you for visiting! Please let me know if you have any questions. I specialize in handmade-by-me knit and crochet items, as well as 100% wool dryer balls.

Accepted payment methods

Returns and exchanges
I strive for complete satisfaction. Please let me know if you have any concerns or problems within 7 days of your order, and I am fully willing to discuss exchange options. All shipping costs will be paid by buyer.
Payment
I currently accept PayPal and DirectPay will be added in the future.
Shipping
I usually ship in 1-3 business days. Occasionally my shipping time for dryer palls is 1-2 weeks if multiple or high quantity orders are placed as I make most dryer balls "fresh" for each order so you are not getting a product that has been sitting for a long time. I keep my current shipping time at the top of my store page. Custom orders will state the anticipated turn around time.

FAQs
CAN DRYER BALLS BE USED IN FRONT LOAD OR HE DRYERS?
Yes. They are safe and effective with front and top loading dryers. They work especially well with dryers with moisture sensors to decrease drying time.

WHAT IF MY DRYER BALL GETS DIRTY OR LICKED OR ROLLED UNDER A DUSTY SOFA?
Dryer balls can be washed on gentle with a normal load of clothes. Then throw in the dryer as usual.

SHOULD I KEEP MY DRYER BALLS DE-FUZZED?
Dryer balls normally have a small amount of pilling that occurs. This can also help remove lint from clothes so there is no need to prevent pilling or de-fuzz the dryer ball as this can interrupt the integrity of the felted wool.

WHAT IF I HAVE NOT NOTICED ANY DIFFERENCE IN DRYING TIME OR EFFICIENCY?
Reasons dryer balls may not improve drying time initially are several-fold.
1. If you used dryer sheets or fabric softener in your laundry prior to switching to wool dryer balls, there is most likely a layer of fabric softener still in your laundry. It may take a few weeks for the rest of the fabric softeners to disappear from your laundry and the surface of the dryer balls.
2. If you use thick cloth diapers and have a dryer with a temperature sensor, it may not fully sense that the diapers are still wet. I usually use the timed dry setting when I am drying cloth diapers.
3. The outside air temperature, number of dryer balls, and size of the load will also affect the ability of the dryer balls to decrease drying time. It should still be shorter but may not be as noticeable if it is cold outside or you are drying a larger load.
4. Also, several customers as well as myself have noticed that wool dryer balls appear to increase in efficacy even months after use. If you still have not seen any improvement after these suggestions and giving them a few months to become reach their full potential, please let me know and I will work closely with you to help.

WHY DOES MY LAUNDRY STILL CONTAIN STATIC?
Static is mildly improved with wool dryer balls but it will not be completely absent without the use of chemically-charged dryer sheets. Climate and season will also affect the degree of static you observe in your laundry. The type of fabric you are drying (ie, fleece vs thin cotton sheets) will also affect the amount of static. If you are still having issues with static during the more humid, summer months, please let me know and I can suggest some other natural options.

HOW LONG DO DRYER BALLS LAST?
Due to the intense felting process, most dryer balls should live a very long life in the dryer devoid of little hands or dog mouths. I still have dryer balls from several years ago bouncing around. They may continue to "shrink" but this is honestly part of the felting process as the wool tightens as well as increases its ability to absorb moisture. Layers could potentially shift if additional colored wool is used, but my dryer balls are not made from yarn and will NOT unravel with normal use.
