Hi, thank you for visiting my shop! While you can surely buy at any major retailer, I am thankful you chose an independent shop like me... The kind of shop where you've met the owner (or at least feel like you do), the kind where the pace is a little slower sometimes but the quality a little nicer, the service a little better, and the conversation a little easier.
I'm Monica Elizabeth, the illustrator behind the designs you see! After working as an Art Director for several years, I started The Great Invitation in April 2012. I began working full-time from my home studio in Dallas, TX after my 2nd son was born and officially launched my Etsy store in July of 2015. I am currently working on opening The Great Invitation Paperie in the Dallas-Fort Worth area... prayers going up daily!
When not designing, I'm hanging with my husband --and biggest supporter-- or spending time with family and friends. Up until recently, I was just a "boymom" of a teen (yikes) & a very creative 8 year old but then heaven opened up and down poured favor because February 2020 we welcomed the arrival of our little girl...
having a girl is a game changer! I'm so happy to share a little piece of them, and a piece of me, in each design.
I have a genuine commitment to providing you with original, custom designs as well as my spin on some classic childhood favorites we all know and love. I offer handcut, "designed with love" products and look forward to creating for you!

Returns and exchange details
Once a mockup has been sent, there are no refunds or cancellations due to time already spent in personalizing your invite.
All packages ship via USPS and delivery is guaranteed. Once a package has been shipped out, there are no refunds on your order. If there is an issue with delivery or delivery time, please let me know. *Helpful Note: USPS online updates randomly, signing up for text/email notifications is the best way to track your package!

Your printed order always ships within 1-3 days of mockup approval and processing. Please allow more time for production & shipping during holidays or the holiday season.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you place an order on Friday, I really appreciate your understanding and will have your mockups ready for you no later than Monday because I don't conduct any business on Sundays to allow a day of rest and worship with my family. =)
I want to apologize in advance for any late emails to your inbox. I work around the clock most times so you may receive your order a wee bit late at night or a wee bit early in the morning but always on time! =)

*Please note that you are paying for a creative service and the time spent designing. We do not claim ownership over any licensed character graphics; they belong to their respective copyright holders. Items purchased are for one-time personal use only and are not for re-sale.
**Copyright restrictions on the licensed characters only permit graphics to be used for one time personal use such as birthday parties. Not all print labs are aware of this policy and if you have issues with a print lab refusing to print for you, please try another local print lab or print at home yourself. A print release form is available if needed, please contact shop owner.

Where will I be receiving my mockup?
I will be sending your mockup via email-- the email you have on file with Etsy. Please be sure to check both your inbox and spam folder. If you'd like to receive your mockup to another email, include your alternate email with your information at check out.
I am not computer saavy, can I place my order over the phone?
Absolutely! Please feel free to give me a call at 214-229-3629 to place your order.
I don't have a PayPal account, how do I purchase from your shop?
Paypal is just one checkout method I use for online transactions. You do not have to have a PayPal account to checkout, you'll see other checkout methods available. You can also feel free to place your order over the phone, 214-229-3629.
Where do I send you the information for customizing my invitation?
You will see a 'Notes to Seller' or 'Comments' section at checkout. This is the area you will add the information for your order. You can also feel free to message me your information on Etsy, just be sure to reference your order number.
