Crafting love out of devastation.
The Harper Project Shop started as Stella Lynn Designs, named after my daughter Stella who was born 11 months after Harper died. I designed birth statistic prints that I gave to my friends and family. I decided that I had seen similar items for sale on Etsy and thought I would give it a try.
My daughter Harper died 2 weeks before her due date. She was delivered stillborn on July 10th 2012. My husband and I were devastated.
I created The Harper Project to help other families that are going through similar situations. We create Memory Boxes that are donated to hospitals that are given to families who are there to deliver their stillborn baby(ies). Some of the items in the Memory Boxes are hand made by me in my home. I decided that I would list these items in my Etsy shop and donate a portion of the proceeds towards The Harper Project. Therefore the name of the shop was changed to The Harper Project Shop.
My goal is to help these families in their darkest hour and bring a small amount of comfort and healing to them. I want something good to come out of the death of my daughter.
Not all of the items listed in my shop are for babyloss but some of the items are. I hope that other people who have experienced this devastation will find comfort in these items and comfort knowing they are helping The Harper Project; Memory Boxes. I know Etsy is a place that I searched for keepsake items that I could use to honor my daughter.
