Our Story

My husband, Gary Hauser was many things during his life, most notably a world renowned wood sculptor/carver, the owner of a prestigious ethnic bead gallery, collector of rare ethnic artifacts and the creator of magnificent, unique, illuminated stone jewelry. After his death in 2011, II put aside my own career as an author and chose to continue the gallery, which was his legacy.
When the gallery began to run low on inventory, Gary's advice was, "follow your passions." Well, that wasn't hard. I shared Gary's passion for out of the ordinary items from all over the world ranging from 4,000 year old beads to Ethiopian hippopotamus hide shields and everything in between. I have continued to work with the African Traders who held Gary in high regard and have added to the gallery's impressive collection of African artifacts.
I'd been a closet textile junky for decades, my small collection contained in one small box, but the box is now open and I've indulged in lush textiles from the world over. I never knew about the world of stone until I moved to the Oregon coast, home to numerous semi precious gemstones. Now, they comprise fully 1/4 of the gallery.
All in all, the gallery keeps me busy as I try to share all that Gary and I collected.
