About

An Heirloom is Something Different to Everyone

When I began my shoppe it was to sell those pieces I found in the back of closets, drawers and cabinets that had been sitting in my parents' home ever since I can remember. I found things there I'd never even seen before. I can't keep everything (not to mention I don't have room for it all). So, I decided to open up an Etsy shop. It's been a great ride. I love that my pieces are being purchased by folks who really can use or like them. When I think of the conversations I've had with some of my buyers and them telling me about how they like the piece they purchased, where it's going, etc., it makes me smile.
My shoppe is always evolving. I love to make pieces from old quilts (my stockings at Christmas time seem to be a hit). I have recently started going to estate sales. Again, those are someone else's heirlooms that I am finding and want to do them justice. I really enjoy the whole creation process. Taking and editing the photos is my favorite part. I have a photography shop here on Etsy, First Light Photography (maybe you've seen my photos floating around the treasuries). So with that background, the photography process comes quite easy for me.
As I think about this shoppe's future, I can only hope that it keeps evolving better and better.
Thanks for looking,
Cheers!

I have been having fun with my shoppe since day one. I live in my antique-filled home with my husband, daughter, and cat. We also own a horse, so much of my time is at the barn.
