Thank You for visiting The High Bead!

All of the jewelry in my shop is created and handmade by myself, and almost all of my pieces are designed by myself. Each contains a different story, involves a different "experiment", and is unique in character from the other pieces. I use the highest quality materials that I can find. I'm continually searching for unique and beautiful semi-precious and precious materials to use in my creations. Much attention is paid to detail and a lot of loving care goes into the construction of each piece. Stitching is reinforced and additional materials are used to strengthen and support the beadwork.

Design and craftsmanship are everything -- I want you to enjoy wearing my jewelry for a LONG time ... Please enjoy my shop!

Payment
Payment methods currently accepted by The High Bead are PayPal, credit card, money order and cashier's check.

Michigan residents will need to pay tax of 6%.
Shipping
Your purchase will be sent out as quickly as possible once payment is recieved and cleared (usually within 48 hours.) Unless a different carrier is requested, all items will be shipped either via US Priority Mail, or US Priority Mail International. I will take great care in packaging your item and you will receive all info relevant to your shipment, such as the tracking number.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING
Domestic shipping via US Priority Mail should take 2 to 3 days.

US Priority Mail automatically includes delivery confirmation and insurance for items valued up to $50.00. All items over $50.00 will be insured for the full value, with the additional insurance included in the shipping cost. While The High Bead is not responsible for lost or damaged goods due to shipping, this shipping insurance should cover the value should anything unfortunate happen.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
All shipping outside the US is via Priority Mail International. Delivery time varies but the Post Office estimates 6 - 10 business days. Again all items will be insured for their full value.

I welcome international customers and will ship items to them. However, customers should be aware of possible international customs and import regulations.

Orders that are shipped to countries outside of the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees charged by the destination country. International customers are responsible for all additional international fees and customs charges.

Customs policies vary from country to country. Please contact your local customs office for detailed information. The following link provides some guidance on these issues:

It must be in the exact condition in which it was received, and in the packaging (i.e. pouch or gift box) in which it was sent. You will be responsible for paying the return postage.
Additional policies and FAQs
Care instructions for beaded and beadwoven jewelry:

Please treat your hand-made jewelry with care! Natural materials (including pearls, semi-precious, and precious stones) and precious metals are used in the creation of many of the pieces. Natural stones can be fragile. Handle your jewelry with care and avoid dropping, scratching and tossing it onto hard surfaces. A softly padded jewelry box or soft pouch are the best options storing your jewelry. If necessary, use a soft jewelry polishing cloth to clean and polish metals or large stones.

Store your jewelry away from direct light, moisture and steam -- don't keep it in the bathroom. Moisture can damage thread, cause metals to tarnish and, in general, isn't good for jewelry of any kind ... period! So, please don't expose it to water, as well as any other liquids or chemicals (detergents, lotions, disinfectants etc.). Don't wear it doing dishes, taking showers or swimming.

Remember to spray perfume on yourself BEFORE putting on the jewelry, Take your jewelry off before changing your clothes and before going to bed. Keep it out of reach of small children and pets.

Following these care instructions will ensure that your jewelry remains beautiful for years to come!
