Hollyhock Farm is a fiber farm in northern Colorado with a passion for creating, learning, and sharing the journey! We believe in happy sheep and beautiful fiber.

Hollyhock Farm was born out of my love for animals, fiber, and homesteading. I hope to provide beautiful fleece and fiber products to handspinners, knitters, and all fiber enthusiasts as well as other products from the farm. All of my sheep are covered, so the resulting fiber is clean from debris and sun bleaching. Most of my sheep are CVM/Rambouillet crosses with some full CVM, a CVM/BFL cross, and some Leicester Longwools for variety. Names and breeds will be indicated in each listing so you know exactly what you are getting. All of my sheep are beloved members of the family with their own names and personalities. I mainly produce fiber for my own use, but we have grown so big that I couldn't possibly knit fast enough to keep up!

Hollyhock Farm got its name in two ways. It is true that we are surrounded by charming and beautiful hollyhock flowers, but there is a tribute hidden in the name as well. Holiday, better known as "Holi," was the first sheep on the farm. I had been planning to bring sheep home from a local shepherd in the summer of 2015, but I was waiting for them to be weaned. Then, the shepherd contacted me a few weeks earlier than I expected asking if I wanted to take a little bottle ewe lamb home as soon as possible! Her mother was refusing to feed her, so she needed a human to adopt her. Of course, I said YES! This tiny bottle lamb was named Holiday, "Holi" for short, because she was a such a special event! She is the sheep that made me a shepherd and has been our mascot ever since.

I am a city girl, but I moved to the country in Colorado as quickly as I could. I started knitting a few years ago and added sheep to the farm quickly after that. I hope to share beautiful fiber and other products from the farm with you.
