Ik ben een levenslange spaarder en liefhebber van oude dingen, eerst geboren uit noodzaak en daarna uit fascinatie. Mijn ouders waren dappere immigranten die hard werkten om ons een beter leven te geven. Opgegroeid in een innovatief gezin uit de lagere klasse leerde ik hoe ik een huis er mooi uit kon laten zien met tweedehands decoratie. Een van mijn vroegste herinneringen is dat ik op lokale rommelmarkten naar schatten zocht. Dus, zoals je je kunt voorstellen, werd ik al op jonge leeftijd geïntroduceerd in vintage en antieke decoratie. Toen kreeg ik een voorliefde voor alles wat oud was.
Vandaag de dag geloof ik nog steeds dat vintage en antieke decoraties massaal geproduceerde decoraties overtreffen in charme, schoonheid en waarde. Ik ben gepassioneerd over het nieuw leven inblazen van oude decoraties. Ik hou van de spanning van de jacht en het leren over de herkomst van speciale stukken. En omdat ik helaas niet alles kan houden, mag ik ze hier voor jullie allemaal brengen!

Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me. Here's a little bit of who I am and why I do what I do.
I'm a lifelong thrifter and lover of old things, first born out of necessity and then out of fascination. My parents were brave immigrants who worked hard to provide us with a better life. Growing up in an innovative lower class family taught me how make a home look beautiful using secondhand decor. Some of my earliest memories are of hunting for treasures at local flea markets. So, as you can imagine I was introduced to vintage and antique decor from an early age. It was then that I grew a fondness of all things old.
Today, I still believe that vintage and antique decor surpasses mass produced decor in charm, beauty and value. I'm passionate about bringing new life to old decor. I love the thrill of the hunt and learning the provenance of special pieces. And because, unfortunately, I can't keep all the things; I get to bring them here for all of you!
