Made and found in the Giant Trees
Sometimes the best way to keep something is by handing it over to a new life with someone else. Like a good book, you read it, then give it to someone who will love it, and ask them to pass it along. The thing moves out - beyond influence and control.
This collection of my treasures and quirky objects is like a shelf of books - that I want someone to have and give new life, adding to their own. I hope you find something for your gifting or keeping, and I will keep the flow going as long as I can.
As a glass artist, I have also included some of my work, as well as treasured Bolex cameras, a favorite pair of cowgirl boots, vintage fabrics, and hand spun yarns.
At this time, I have vintage beads to share, and hope to send enough of them out to raise money for a special project. (It's not for me, so anything listed in the gilding the trees section is going to benefit some fellow artists in glass). It is a huge project, and would have been out of my reach without the beautiful help of my sister and her daughters who traveled half way across the country to help sort and photograph beads.
Best to all of you fellow artists!
Owner, Maker, Curator
Nurturing creative work in myself and others is my reason for working (as well as the joy of work itself) I live in the middle of a large expanse of Douglas Fir and Western Cedar with art work constantly produced around and with me.
I work in a clean smoke-free environment in the country.
I do have dog and cat sharing my life.
Here I hope you will find things that will unfold a warmth and curiosity in you.
