About

Rescuing antique treasures that come with a story and a past

I have been a collector for a lifetime, as a child I was introduced to world of beautiful dishes, glassware and silver by a great aunt . Setting a table for our afternoon tea was an event using the prettiest cups and saucers, crisp linens, polished silver, covered cake dishes, and delicate plates covered with flowers. She gave me the task of setting the table starting at age 6 of setting the stage for the tea parties, not with dolls but with grown-ups. Every birthday and holiday she gave me a gift of a bone china tea cup, I had a china cabinet full in my room by time I was a teenager and still have those precious teacups to this day almost 6 decades later. My love and appreciation for making a home beautiful and welcoming has never faded. I enjoy the treasure hunt, the thrill of discovery, piecing together the stories of who loved it before, then the creative process of putting together a collection, the restoring or redesigning with found objects, and then decorating to tell a new creative story made out of these beautiful treasures from the past. I enjoy finding and then passing them along to a new home and helping make your world more beautiful and elegant one teacup at a time.
