Announcement   Hi there. So glad you are visiting my little Etsy store. I have the most wonderful customers and I hope you will become one of them. To all my great repeat customers, you will notice a price increase. Sorry I had to do this due to cotton prices doubling.

BIBLE COVERS: Please note that this is NOT a bible jacket, a cover that holds only your bible. This is more of a carrier as it holds your bible and another book. This is for the person that goes to bible studies or sunday school and has more books to carry than just the bible. The normal bible cover size fits bibles 9.5 x 6.5 x 2, but if your bible is a different size, just let me know so I can make it to fit your bible. There is no extra charge for this service, it's included in the price. Also included is the monogramming. I can do either the first name or 3 initials, whichever you choose.

APRONS: This are soft bib style aprons that are quilted by me and then I monogram your first name or initials on the top pocket. They are a heavy duty apron but only weigh approximately 11 ounces. You will wear them for years! However what I find frustrating is that when my customers receive them, they say that the aprons are so pretty they can't bear to use them but hang them up as decor. Ladies and Gentlemen, I make these for you to use and then machine wash and dry. PLEASE USE THEM!!!! The aprons actually become softer with your washing. I enjoy mine much more after washing. Promise!

MONOGRAM PILLOWCASES: I purchase sheet sets and then cut them down to size for pillowcases. I only buy 100% cotton that are minimum 300 thread count. A lot of the time I can buy 400 - 600 thread count, but no guarantee.

I have a 14 day handling time on most of my items because it takes me 4-6 hours to make one item and I usually have many orders. So I do them in the order that receive them. I pay attention to the details, well you'll see. If you need something for a special date, let me know and we'll see what we can work out. Gotta go & sew.

I just received this Bible cover and could not be happier. The detailing is so good. It was wonderful that the Cross with heart could be added too. Going to use this all the time. Thank you. Highly recommend!!

ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! From the moment I saw this design, I knew that THIS is what I wanted to order for this very, very special Christmas gift. The gold monogram and laurel design is beautiful and I am so pleased with the EXCELLENT customer service that TheLinenLadyandMore provided. Ten stars in my book and truly I feel so grateful, to have been able to give a little charm of the South as a gift. I LOVE!!! May your hands be blessed and many thanks for such a lovely item. ~

About

My love of sewing met my necessities.

I quit working outside my home in 2008 because the cowboy I married, got very ill. So we quit the horse business. (This was a hard adjustment but I couldn't do it alone.) My husband is now an incomplete paraplegic and requires quite of lot of attention from me and his doctors. I needed to do something to earn income as well as keep myself from going stir crazy. I am not very good at sitting still for very long. You can only clean your house so much before you become obsessive. I love to bake, but I learned the pounds are not so easy to take off. My 50 yrs of sewing experience fit in just perfectly.

I have been selling my Handcrafted items since 2008. This all started because I was dropping all my stuff in church. The bible would go one way, my Sunday school books the other and forget about finding my pens. After several spills like this, I came home from church and set about making something that would hold all my items without worry about them traveling on their own. Since I went to bible study classes as well as taught Sunday school, I needed a carrier that would hold up to 6 books with no problems. My bible cover is the end result. It works if your just toting your bible or are like me. The thought came to me that if I had this problem, maybe others might want a solution too. Since then I have sold hundreds of them. I have revised my design just a little along the way but I'm still carrying my original, I want to see what the life of the carrier is and so far, still no problems since 2007. It's reinforced at all key points so it's really tough as well as being machine washable. It takes approximately 4-5 hours to make one. Included in the purchase price is monogramming them anyway you like, as you can see from the pictures.

My customers say that nothing will get their aprons away from them. I have one customer that has purchased by last count 6, all for herself. She just loves them because, in her words: "their pretty as well as extremely useful ." They make great house warming gifts, birthday presents, shower gifts, Christmas presents or just because you owe it to yourself. But I have to tell you that once you own one, you'll want more, according to my customers.

Everything I sell is monogrammed with either the first name or initials. I sell Personalized Quilted Aprons, Monogrammed Bible Covers that make sense, Monogrammed Pillowcases, Monogrammed Napkins, Placemats, Casserole Carriers, Wheelchair afghans, and Walker carriers. Oh and some necklaces that I made. I am starting on shower curtains because my sister says she can't find one to fit her large curved shower. And who know what else I might come up with. I am only limited by storage space. (Aren't we all.)

I love to sew and i hope it shows in my work! I believe that quality work is worth doing.

I tried Etsy in 2010 and never received a purchase so I stayed on Ebay. But Ebay began to concentrated on big stores and manufactures so I knew I had to do something else. I have just switched to Etsy at the close of 2013 and the response has been great. In fact I received my first order the first week I listed. I think I'm going to like it here. :)
