Vintage Textiles, Haberdashery, Jewellery and Curios
TheLittleCostumier's Shop Policies
Thank you for visiting The Little Costumier.
My shop is an eclectic mixture that includes vintage haberdashery and curios, and handmade lingerie. The vintage items have been collected by myself over the years, and the lingerie collection is lovingly designed and handmade by myself. My lingerie collection includes modern and vintage inspired styles using new and vintage fabrics and trimmings. My pieces are often unique, one-of-a-kind and/or made in very small runs due to the rarity and limited availability of the delicate vintage fabrics sourced.
Payment via PayPal only.

Additional Policies and FAQs
Caring for your handmade pieces: these should be washed as silk – hand wash in lukewarm water using a mild detergent, and rolled in a towel to extract the water instead of being wrung or twisted. They should be naturally air dried instead of using a clothes dryer which will subject the fabric to excessive temperature. They do not require ironing as any wrinkles should disappear when the garment is hung to dry, however, any creases can be minimised or removed by hanging the piece in the bathroom during a shower (the humidity will help to remove the creases), or by using a very cool iron set for silk fabric.
The handmade nature of the pieces means that they have characteristics of being lovingly and beautifully handmade and crafted. I use vintage fabrics that are in very good condition, although the very nature of vintage fabrics means that there may be some very slight imperfections. The gussets and linings are always made from new fabrics.
