TheLittleKitchenShop

Hello! My name is Callie! I’ve been knitting since I was eight-years-old and crafting well before then.

During the day, I am an English professor. I’ve worked at several universities and junior colleges. I love my job and I love being in a classroom. However, my job can be stressful at times. At night, as a way to decompress, I knit and craft.

When I first learned how to knit, I was obsessed. Everyone received hats as gifts. I’m pretty sure that if my sisters had let me, I would have even made hats for their cats.

I’m constantly inspired to try making something new. At the moment that’s making wood toys on a secondhand scroll saw. I’ll often see something and think, ‘I could make that.’ I believe I owe that creative naïveté but willingness to try mentality to my parents who are both incredibly creative individuals.

And if you’re wondering about my shop name, my family name is Kitchen. Often at craft shows, people will see my shop name and wonder where the soup bowls and spoons are. But alas, I am the youngest in my family and thus, The Little Kitchen.

Thank you so much for dropping by and I hope you find something you like!

Cheers!
Callie aka The Little Kitchen
