Cintamani Stones & Jewelry

Announcement    ***Attention International Customers*** -SEPTEMBER 16, 2020-
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the international shipping network is in disarray. Most international parcels ship via passenger jet, and now that there are only a fraction of the normal passenger flights, the international parcels are being delayed for months at a time. As a result, international parcels that I sent 6 months ago are now arriving at their destination or are being returned to me, often with no updates along the way.
I have always sought to provide fast and reliable service to my customers, and I find this situation unacceptable. As a result, I AM NO LONGER SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. AND CANADA UNTIL THE SITUATION IMPROVES
I send my apologies to my international customers, I always enjoy working with you and I appreciate your business. I'm very sorry that I am unable to guarantee reliable service for the time being, but I hope that the situation will improve in the near future and we will be able to work together again.
US and Canadian customers will continue to receive free shipping, but please be aware that there is always a chance of delays due to both the pandemic, and the unfortunate changes that the new USPS postmaster Louis DeJoy has instituted which are intentionally causing major disruptions of service across the US.
Thank you all,
Blessings and good health!
-Kevin

Welcome!
My shop specializes in Saffordite, widely known as Cintamani Stones. I also offer lovingly handcrafted silver and crystal jewelry, to beautify and balance you as you journey through this world.

All the jewelry offered here is made by the shop owner using sterling silver, a precious metal fit for heirloom grade jewelry, and an excellent energetic conductor. All Cintamani stones were found by the shop owner.

In addition to the Saffordite I am offering our jewelry with other stones, including natural turquoise, rutilated quartz, jade, and others. Each piece is lovingly hand crafted and built to last.

ABOUT SAFFORDITE:
Saffordite is a unique naturally occurring glass found in the desert of Eastern Arizona.

While its origins are fairly mysterious, The stone is commonly associated with tektites such as moldavite because it is a high quality translucent glass with a richly textured regmaglyptic surface and a rounded shape. Whether it is a tektite or a terrestrial glass, I don't know, but many people consider them to be of cosmic origin.

When sitting on the desert floor Saffordite is pitch-black and is difficult to distinguish from the shadows of the surrounding rocks. When you pick it up and let the sunlight shine through it, it comes to life and you begin to see into the magic of this stone. These stones are translucent and tend to a range of colors from faintly rose to lavender, smoky to grey. They less commonly exhibit bands inside, while a rare few are have mossy shadows inside.

It is impossible to research Saffordite without finding article after article on its mystical properties, its powerful energy and its high vibration.

The desert where they're found is a strange one, desolate and blindingly bright. At night, strange dreams come to those who stay there, of old gods and ancient creatures. By day, it's all you can do to keep your head on straight and not get disoriented in the relentless sun.

I think that the energy sensitive among you will notice a very real difference between these gently and respectfully hand-gathered stones, and the industrially-mined, bulk-traded stones you find at many crystal shops. In my life these stones have been a blessing, a mystery, and they constantly impress and surprise me.

Each of these stones is a pleasure to experience, and I hope that you will enjoy their presence as much as I have.
Thanks for visiting!

Our Stones:
I offer the finest translucent specimens, I grade our stones first in the field, and then once more after gently cleaning off the dust and dirt. Freshly chipped or broken stones are left in the desert, as are the more common opaque Saffordites. Stones which were chipped in ancient times and have developed a patina over the broken faces are kept. You can tell the difference because recent breaks are shiny and older ones We select for translucency, as well as the striped (banded) and mossy patterned stones, which we prize for their beauty and rarity. Prices vary according to clarity, surface texture, and weight.

A note about COLOR:
It is extremely difficult to get photos to show the exact color of these stones, due automatic white balance systems used on most cameras, and the confusion that these systems face when photographing under artificial light. Some stones appear blue in the photos, but they are actually a gray color. If the color is important to you and you are uncertain, please ask.

A note about WEIGHT:
I weigh and label my stones by weight in grams. They are weighed to 1/100 of a gram, BUT I cannot guarantee that the weight is exact.
1/100 of a gram is a tiny amount, the scale will measure the force if I breathe on it, it is so sensitive. That being said, it's likely that the stones may be slightly more or less than the weight I measure them at. Even a change in humidity could affect the weights. I typically round down a few hundredths of a gram so that I do not over-estimate, but I want to be clear that the weights are not perfectly exact. They should be accurate to more than one half carat (.1 gram).

A note about SHIPPING:
We ship for FREE via USPS First Class because it keeps the costs down, so we are able to provide FREE SHIPPING everywhere in the world. We have shipped stones to the France, Spain, Portugal, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, the Ukraine, Egypt, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, China, the Philippines, Australia, and other countries as well. Shipments in the US are usually delivered in less than 5 days, and internationally it can take anywhere from 8 days to 5 weeks and possibly more, depending entirely on the efficacy of the Postal service in the recieving country.

**I AM NO LONGER SHIPPING TO THE UK, ITALY, SWEDEN, GERMANY OR MEXICO**
Due to consistent problems with shipping, I cannot guarantee that items purchased in those counties will arrive. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

**** INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS OFTEN REQUIRE THE BUYER TO PAY A CUSTOMS FEE or VAT TO RECEiVE THE PACKAGE AT THE POST OFFICE. **** This is not a shipping fee, it is an import tax which is paid to your government. "Work is Love made visible" -Kahlil Gibran

My goal is for The Lumen Naturae to be the best source of Cintamani/Saffordites in the world. Here’s what I can offer you:

Highest Quality:
We grade our stones in the field, and again once they have been cleaned. We leave opaque and freshly chipped or broken stones on the desert floor. We offer the most beautiful, high-energy stones which have been selected for translucency, shape, and incredible surface textures.

Ecologically Friendly:
We do not mine our stones. Each one is found sitting out on the desert floor. The fragile desert soil is disturbed only by our footprints.

Totally Natural:
Our stones are never irradiated or tachionized. They are exactly how nature provided them, perfectly charged with the energy of millions of starry nights and sunny days.

Energetically Sensitive:
We gather our stones with humility and gratitude, and we leave offerings of food, sage, and crystals for the places we gather from. We believe that the stones have a job to do where they lay, so we never gather all the stones that we see. Each individual stone is treated with respect and gratitude, and I believe that sensitive people will notice the subtle energies of stones which have never been subjected to the violence of a mining operation.

Precise Photos:
I take time to prepare photos of the exact stone that you are purchasing, so that you can choose the stone that is right for you. These include a ruler for scale as well as photos showing what the stone looks like when backlit so you can judge its translucency and internal patterns for yourself.
If you don't want to pay a little extra for photos, consider purchasing from my bulk listing section, where stones are listed by weight and I choose the stone for you after you've purchased. This saves me the time it takes to photograph individual stones, and lets me pass the savings to you. Bulk listed stones are available from 2.5 to 5.0 grams, sorted into listings within half gram ranges (for example 2.5-3.0 grams stones).

Trusted Seller:
I have sold hundreds of Cintamani stones and my handcrafted silver jewelry to people on every continent (except Antarctica) around this beautiful planet.

Our love for the desert takes us near and far through canyons, mountains and sun-beaten bajadas. The stones appeared to us as we stopped to rest along the wayside, and we've visited them many times since. They are generous teachers and we're full of gratitude for the ways they've enriched our lives. We hope they will bring you what you seek as well.

Thank you for visiting!

Frequently asked questions
Are there any taxes or fees the customer should be aware of?

International customers may be charged fees or taxes including VAT by their own country. Every country is different, so it is difficult for me to know specifics, but the UK charges a vey high VAT which can be 70% or more of the cost of the item. This is not a shipping fee, it is a tax. If you have any questions about this, please contact me before purchasing or inquire at your local Post Office.
