Simply tiny studs...
After deciding to take a break from archaeology to stay at home with my two daughters, I decided I needed an outlet, and it wouldn't hurt to have a little extra source of income if it happened to work out that way as well! I started a few other shops on Etsy (Chromotherapy, Glitter Bits, Ruby's Eventide) all selling a variety of trinkets, mostly resin necklaces and rings. However, with the market highly saturated in this area, I realized that while I did enjoy making these items, they were not selling. I also valued them more than I could possibly sell them for. My oldest daughter, then four, had just gotten her ears pierced. After buying earrings at several "well known" shops in the mall, I was disappointed to find that her ears becamed irritated, and infected, even though the packaging had clearly stated "for sensitive ears". It became easy for me to make her some, that way I knew exactly what type of posts would be against her little ears and that they were safe. I then began to combine my love for historic archaeology and antiques and get into the vintage realm, looking for unique items I could make into earrings. With the advice from a neighbor, "The Mini Mango" was born. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was received on Etsy. I thought my market would be limited considering I was selling only stud earrings. But, I have found that many people simply prefer or can only wear post earrings and not dangles, so this works for me! I have based my business on Sam Walton (founder of Walmart) and his theories. I try to keep my overhead as low as possible, so I can keep my prices low. However, I put as much love and care into my earrings, as I possibly can. This is reflected in the packaging, and the quality of the earrings. I hope you will take a chance and check out my shop. I guarantee you will not find another earring shop that provides the kind of service you will find here!
Owner, Maker, Designer
Hi! I'm Emma and owner of The Mini Mango. I am an archaeologist by degree and I also have my master's in healthcare administration. With two young daughter's it is very easy for me to have inspiration for my projects!
I specialize in vintage and new unique and TINY stud earrings. Most earrings in my shop are under 10mm in size. The "teeny tiny" collection averages about 4mm in size. In each set of photos on the side of each item, you will see my hand holding the pair to gauge for size or a coin to gauge for size. Note: I have rather small hands, so earrings will probably be slightly smaller than expected.
In case you are wondering where my vintage supplies come from..ahhh..I'll keep that a secret. I will tell you that I get them from suppliers who tirelessly dig through warehouses to find nothing, but the best for me! I get what is called "new, old stock", meaning they were made, but never circulated. So, when I find something I like, I buy as many as I can of those cabochons, since they are limited. However, that is why you will see earrings re-listed, because I do have multiple cabochons for each style. Sometimes I have many...sometimes I only can get a few, it just depends.

~~~Just an FYI: The earrings are made to order. It takes me several days generally to make them and let them dry. Then they are packaged up, and I usually get to the post office about twice a week. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery depending on volume of orders and mail time delivery. Thanks!
**IMPORTANT: The seller is NOT responsible for items lost in the mail! Attention international customers: there is no way to track items once they leave the United States! If they are lost outside the United States, that is not my problem. Sorry :(
Additional policies and FAQs
My earrings are very small. This needs to be kept in mind at all times. When taking the back off and putting it on, EXTRA care needs to be taken. Grab as much of the earring AND the post TOGETHER when pulling the back off. This will help, since they are so tiny. (Not trying to freak you out, just offering some helpful advice to save both you and me the trouble of having to go through a repair). For children, it is best if an adult helps them.
Depending on the style of earring, I may use butterfly clutch or silicone rubber earring backs. If you have a preference just leave me a note in the "message to seller" box.
You may notice extra glue around the post on the back of your earring. This is normal and sometimes necessary to provide a strong bond between the post and the earring itself. Again, due to the tiny size of the earrings, a strong adhesive and extra glue is often required. This should not be a cause for concern. The little size of the earrings does not leave much to hold on to, so a lot of force is put upon them when pulling the earring back on and off. If by chance the post does separate from the earring itself, I will arrange a way to fix it for free assuming is has only been a reasonable amount of time since your order; just contact me.
If it has been months since your order was placed, and the earrings have broken, I can only tell you how to repair them, since I do not know how they were handled or treated. Surely, you can understand.
If you would like something customized, certain colors, please convo me and I can create a special listing for you. All customized orders are non refundable.
