Behind The No Fun House
I am a naturally artsy, craftsy person. I started making and selling jewelry and cards to sell in high school. Even tried selling photography. I did bake sales. I had a fashion blog.
And then I had kids. Everything changed.
I had no time (or much desire) to make jewelry anymore. I wanted to take pictures - of my kids. Can't sell that. I LOVED to bake but giving up days to bulk bake, package, load up and sell is just not worth it at the cost of time with my kids. The fashion blog was draining and I started avoiding it.
After kids, my creative outlet changed direction. It was party planning. Memory making. Chaos coordinating. Jewelry became invitations, photography was about capturing moments that I didn't want to forget instead of pretty scenes to hang on a wall, bake sales became over the top dessert spreads at birthday parties and my fashion blog lost to the mom jeans.
Yeah, I could've just bought what was available and called it a day. But...
I. Am. So. Picky.
The font wasn't right. The colors were not quite there. Something didn't suit my specific design idea.
So I started making my own. Almost every time. From scratch. Invites, meal plans, lists, homeschool worksheets, holiday stationary. If I need it, I make it.
I put so much work into things that I figured it's time to share.
The No Fun House: where the carbs are organic, the kids are feral and laughter is a symptom.
Created by me, named by my kids.
Oh, the irony.
