Announcement   CLEARANCE SALE! Due to high taxes and ridiculous book keeping requirements to satisfy the IRS, I am closing my shop. Please understand that stuff is selling out, and I am trying to keep on top of deleting items as they go, but please understand if I need to make substitutions if what you want is already gone!

My desire is to live close to the land, and the things I sell reflect that. The goat milk, honey, and many other ingredients come from my homestead in Vermont. I encourage you to read my ingredients, everything I sell is natural with nothing artificial. My favorite part of creating these products is when people tell me that after using them, their skin is healthier than it's ever been!

About

It all started because I love my goats.

In 2007 my husband and I, our toddler, and unborn baby bought 43 acres of woods in rural Vermont and started a homestead. We built a cabin (with a little hired help) and were living in it by the end of that summer. It only had one sink, one toilet, no hot water, and mostly unfinished walls at the time. It was rough, but at least we moved in before the baby was born! I was anxious to get goats, so my wonderful husband worked out in the cold and built a little shed, and we were able to get two goats that first winter.

I like to make things from scratch, so naturally, once I had a few goats and plenty of sweet goat milk, I learned how to make hard and soft cheeses, goat milk fudge, and cajeta. Goat milk soap was a little more intimidating; not only does it require special equipment, but the lye is seriously dangerous. But I got sick of buying nasty, chemical laden big brand soap, so I finally worked up the courage to try my hand at soap making. My first batch was a WRECK! That didn't stop me, I tried again and had success. Once I began researching all the herbs and essential oils and other natural ingredients that can make your good goat milk soap even better, I was hooked and soon I was pushing aside food from my pantry shelves to make room for curing soap.

I used to think that soap was soap. Sure, I would rather use natural, home made products, but I didn't think that my humble soap would be anything special on people's skin. I gave away a bunch for Christmas presents, and I was excited when I got great feedback about how my friends' skin was softer, not itchy, and not cracked from dry winter air. Wow! I always knew that goat milk was great stuff, my soap proves it!

So now I sell it, and do you know what I like best about selling my soap? Getting great feedback from customers telling me that their eczema is gone, their skin is soft, and that they will never go back to big brand soap again. I enjoy building relationships with customers all over the world, and sending them a little bit of my homestead here in rural Vermont.

I am a wife and mother to a wonderful family that I love with all my heart. I grow healthy food for my family here on our little homestead, and make natural products to take care of us. My goats, garden and bees provide us with good food and fun.

I sell soap because I love my product and I love to hear people tell me that they love it, that it has helped their skin, they love the smell, the ingredients, etc. I am a one person business and like to consider my customers as friends. When someone purchases my product, I hope that they have such a great experience that they will want to purchase from me again. I treat my customers the way that I would want a business to treat me.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Money Order

  • Other Method
Payment
Online purchases with Paypal or credit cards will be shipped immediately. Purchases made by check will be shipped as soon as I receive your check in the mail and it clears.

Vermont residents pay 6% sales tax (sorry, but I've gotta do it).
Shipping
All priority mail shipments are automatically insured up to $100, but JUST BECAUSE A PACKAGE IS INSURED DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL NOT GET STOLEN! read on...

I ship USPS because they are by far the least expensive shipping option. Out of the many hundred packages I have sent through them, very few have been lost, but to those customers who lost their package, it was a hard blow. Tracking even "confirmed" delivery. Therefore, for US residents, I *highly* suggest you get signature confirmation (available at check out) as I believe this is the best way to ensure that YOU get your soap, not someone else. It only costs $2.35, which I think is worth it. For foreign customers, if you would like me to create a shipping upgrade that you know is available in your country, talk to me before the sale and I will be happy to work with you.

All packages whose shipping costs at least $6 go Priority Mail, which has free insurance up to $100. If your package is worth more than that, please ask me and I'll be happy to make upgraded insurance available to you.

If you contact me before purchasing multiple items and ask me to create a custom listing for you, I can give you the best price available to me on shipping, and make a custom listing for you with lower shipping if it saves you money. If you purchase many items individually, you might pay more than is needed. I make an effort to make up shipping over payment by sending free products.
Refunds and Exchanges
I believe in my product and I want my customers to be as happy with it as I am. If you are dissatisfied, please let me know and I will exchange the product or refund your money.

If your product is stolen before you get it, I am sorry but I cannot refund that money. that is why I have made signature confirmation available.
Additional policies and FAQs
I do not conduct business transactions on Sundays, but I will usually respond to messages.
