To quote Friends; "Is this genuine Muppet hair?" :o) I love it, it is so soft and fluffy and warm. Thank you!!

Really super cute well made little ginger bread men, i love them! They are both hanging on my tree already & look absolutely fabulous. Thank you so much for the super fast delivery, the gorgeous little fellas & the uber adorable wrapping, was just like getting a present through the post. Wonderful. Thank you!! :)

About

Couldn't cook, decided to hook...

The name comes from my husband. Yep, I'm actually a Mrs Beaton -and whilst roughly capable of cooking, some things are best left to Victorian women who wrote recipe books.

My mum taught me to sew, hoard and admire tactile pieces and this is something which once learned cannot be shaken...The hoarding is the tricky bit, and when it becomes abundantly clear that there is no longer any room in your house or loft for the things that you have made, it is time to have a sort out, be realistic and try and convince other people that they like your sense of colour as much as you do...

I learned to crochet thanks to Youtube, a couple of handy books and a great WI course at Denman College. It keeps me massively sane, satisfied and productive whilst I stay at home to look after my two 'Not-so-willing-models' who can be seen in my product photos! Now I sell at local craft fairs, pitch in helping local mums to learn the art of hooking, and sell my pieces online.

Never fear, this isn't a one woman empire hell-bent on crochet domination -all pieces are made by myself, with the exception of some of the crafting accessories where my bonkers Dorset family (who have the crafty gene and sew, embroider, patchwork and wood turn) have all had fits of massive industry and have contributed. Any pretty pennies made go back into wool, and stretching my skills a little bit further.

Some of the best pieces I've made have been working with other people, collaborating on the ideas and design process. I really enjoy working as part of a team to get inspiration bubbling, which I can then translate into wool (hurrah!).

I've been stitching bits of fabric together since I was super little -my mum quilts at the speed of light and has influenced (some might say 'enabled') my love of pattern. I love collecting but don't have a house big enough so it's time to share.
