A recent testimony of our work: "Style and quality craftsmanship are eternal!!! Happy holidays..."

A little bit about us and our work:
Everything natural inspires the two of us. We consider our work to be multi and mixed media. For each of us respectively, gem cutting and hot glass work are our main media. Metals come next. We sometimes use leather and ceramics that we also create, as well as our own enamel work, in our final pieces. We strive to incorporate all our skills, while learning new ones. Our work may seem simple, until it is realized that we've made each component. Something truly original.

Other ways to support our small business:
After Covid has been tamed. Perhaps you are interested in hosting a private party at your house. Host gets free jewelry or custom work for inviting their friends to see and buy our work. This is a year round endeavor, so feel free to schedule something in the new year, too. To schedule a party, give us a call at 360-807-8339 or email at heathermaxwell [!at] thepacifikimage.com

We also have opened another ETSY shop for our vintage jewelry collection, as well as some pieces from our early work (1990s).

Two People Making Jewelry and Stuff Since 1994

TL Goodwin is a self-taught artist capable of working in many forms of media.
He has been doing lapidary work and metalwork for over 25 years. He started making stamping tools right away because he didn’t have the money to buy them. It has been his principle method of decorating his metal pieces. He now makes his own chasing and repoussé tools. He has even gone so far as to process his own pitch and if you have ever worked with pine pitch, you know it’s no easy endeavor.

He does all of the lapidary work for Goodwin and Maxwell and all of the metalsmithing. This ensures that each piece is genuinely one-of-a-kind. Even in duplicating a pattern, no two pieces are identical. Each piece is hand-fabricated. Nothing is cast from easily reproduced wax blanks.

Heather Maxwell is also a self-taught artist, inspired in childhood by her Grandmother, who painted in oils (and who bought Heather her first set of paints). She started making jewelry at the age of 8, using glass seed beads.

Heather began bending wire in 1987. She makes chain, a practice that dates back thousands of years. Every ear wire is hand formed, as is every clasp. In 1998, she began lampworking scrap glass, and now makes all of our beads used in the finished work.

Both create ceramic pieces from time-to-time. Both use Vitreous Enamels occasionally.

They met on the Vernal Equinox of 1993 at the 6th Avenue Denny's in Tacoma, WA, and quickly learned they had jewelry making in common. Later that same year, they started making jewelry together. They have been married since 1994, the same year they started their business..
