5 out of 5 starsI’m a new artist so I don’t have a lot of experience with textures. But I love the effect that Grit gives my artwork. Grit is very smooth and easy to apply.

Love seeing pictures of where my art goes to live! Hope that it will always bring many blessings & happiness!
Lush floral creations that embrace the beauty of imperfections▫️my journey to faith & 5,000 flowers ➕ Mark 10:49 The Painted Muse & PaintedGypsy Camp
Welcome! I'm Tiffany Foster Smith, the artist behind The Painted Jackalope. I'm an art teacher, mother, wife and junk enthusiast in the tiny country town of St. Paul, Arkansas. My art was born with a love of creating with aged wood, cracked paint, and rusty metal. Each piece of art is unique, organic and perfect in its imperfections. I create layer upon layers to give each piece texture, reminiscent of cracked and chipped paint to show history and the artist’s hand. The pieces feel and look like they have weathered many storms, but that they are all the more beautiful because they endured.
Formally trained at the University of Arkansas, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art Education with an emphasis in ceramics and painting. For the last 5+years, I sold antiques and junk on the road as twang & twig. With my marriage, the arrival of my son and new teaching job, my roots began to grow; and, as a result, I have changed my focus to creating more art.
My shop, The Painted Jackalope travels in Arkansas & other bordering states selling handmade creations that feed your southern soul with inspiration & love. We have recently added an online shop. It is still under construction, so please be patient with me as I get it up and running.
