Lovely set. Seller's description of small mark on the bracelet proved very accurate so I knew exactly what I was getting with no surprises. Very happy with my purchase :)

Vintage Jewelry from The Paisley Unicorn

This shop began in 2010 as a place for me to sell my handmade hair accessories and earrings/rings made with vintage stacking plastic flowers.

But in 2012, completely by accident, I found a large lot of vintage earrings, mostly from the 1980's. I found out very quickly that I am obsessed with jewelry from decades past! My shop quickly evolved into a marketplace for vintage jewelry rather than handmade jewelry (but I still sell a tiny amount of handmade jewelry/accessories that I make with vintage supplies).

I started collecting vintage jewelry as well, and I focus on collecting designer or rare Avon jewelry and soap/perfume in the original packaging. I also love to collect confetti Lucite, Sarah Coventry, multi strand beaded necklaces, cluster, climber, and rhinestone earrings. Welcome! Here, you will find vintage jewelry as well as my handmade vintage stacking flower jewelry/accessories. Any piece in this boutique will add whimsy and excitement to your look, guaranteed! Please contact me with questions, comments, or concerns, and please contact me THROUGH ETSY as opposed to through my email address, because I have experienced a couple of customers trying to contact me through email, and it goes to my junk mail, and I might not get your message!

The vintage items I sell come from estate sales. Therefore, I cannot verify whether they came from owners who were smokers, homes with pets, or funny/bad smells. I myself, DO have two cats. I do try to keep everything protected in baggies to prevent exposure to cat hair. But it is inevitable, that every once in a while, a stray cat hair may find it's way into your package.

Payment
I accept PayPal, and Direct Checkout (DC) with Etsy.

RESERVED ITEMS: Items can be reserved with a 25% down non-refundable deposit at the time of the request made via Paypal. Full payment is due within 14 days of initial date of reserve. If full payment is not received at the end of the 14 days, items are placed back in inventory, and the buyer loses the 25% deposit, no exceptions. Please, do not request items be reserved unless you're a serious buyer.
Shipping
ORDER PROCESSING TIME: I ship within 3 business days or less.

SHIPPING ADDRESS: I use the shipping address provided in your Etsy purchase order invoice. Please make sure this is the correct address. If you wish to use another address, either change it in the address field before placing your order, or include a note with your purchase including the preferred address. Paisley Unicorn is not responsible for lost shipping costs due to the use of an incorrect address provided by the buyer.

DOMESTIC: I ship using USPS First Class Domestic unless your order will be heavier than 13 ounces, in which case, I will ship with Priority Mail Domestic. If you prefer Priority Mail, or need overnight Express mail, this can be arranged for the additional fees as stated on the USPS website. This change in shipping services must be arranged prior to purchase. The USPS offers many additional mail services in conjunction with First Class including Signature Confirmation for an additional $2.55. Please contact me BEFORE YOU BUY if you would like to add Signature Confirmation or if you want to any other additional services. I will adjust shipping for your desired purchase to include any additional fees.

INTERNATIONAL: I ship with USPS First Class International, and this service now includes tracking for many countries, but does NOT include insurance for items lost or damaged. We will provide 'Registered' mail protection for $13.65 to further insure international purchases upon request from buyer. We are not responsible for loss or damage of unregistered international orders. Please contact me before purchase so that I may adjust the shipping cost to include Registration or other International services such as Global Express or Priority International.

INTERNATIONAL COMBINED SHIPPING FEES: If you would rather discuss combined shipping before you buy, just contact me with a list of the items you want to purchase, and I will determine an accurate shipping price. The combined shipping values listed in individual items are estimates, and your actual multiple purchase order weight may have a different value. ****NOTE: INTERNATIONAL DIRECT CHECKOUT PAYMENTS MADE WITH CURRENCY OTHER THAN US DOLLARS WILL TAKE 24 HOURS FOR FULL OR PARTIAL REFUNDS.

INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY TIME: Please allow more time for your purchase to arrive. It may take two weeks OR MORE to arrive once shipped from the US depending on where you are. My experience has been that mail is particularly slow to arrive in Russia. I have more than one package sent to Russia that took almost 90 days to arrive. I have no control over this, and kindly ask that you try to be extra patient while waiting for the mail service to deliver your order.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMS FEES: Please do not ask me to falsify the customs forms in any way. I will not alter the number of items you decide to purchase or their value. Buyer is responsible for all Custom duties and taxes in your country. The Paisley Unicorn shop is not responsible for any added charges.


I factor in the cost of shipping supplies, travel to the post office, and my time to process orders into my shipping prices. I try not to overcharge my customers, and I do work to keep shipping costs as low as possible. One way I do this is by, whenever possible, using RECYCLED boxes, envelopes, bubble wrap, plastic grocery bags, Styrofoam popcorn...whatever I can find secondhand to ship with.
Refunds and Exchanges
NO refunds or exchanges unless there are extenuating circumstances. We work hard to accurately describe items, including any existing flaws, in the descriptions and accompanying photographs so that there are no surprises to the buyer. It is the buyer's responsibility to read the description and view all the photos.

In the event of extenuating circumstances we will offer an exchange or refund. In either case, the item must be returned, and shipping fees for USPS FIRST CLASS will be refunded to the buyer on a case by case basis. WE DO NOT REFUND FOR PRIORITY SHIPPING. If the item weighs less than 13 oz. we refund for FIRST CLASS ONLY. This means you may need to make a trip to the post office.

Please understand that vintage jewelry has some amount of wear due to age, and is sold AS IS. We believe any existing flaws add character and charm to the products.
Additional policies and FAQs
For smaller orders I use water proof polyurethane bubble mailers, and I securely, carefully wrap individual jewelry items in at least two layers of bubble wrap. For larger orders I use cardboard boxes, typically recycled ones. I am trying to 'go green' and keep costs of shipping down for the buyer. I realize bubble wrap is not green, but jewelry needs some level of protection and it's lighter and less expensive than a jewelry box. I factor in the cost of shipping supplies, travel to the post office, and my time to process orders into my shipping prices.
